Subject: Park Slopers' Wii friend codes?

We just got our Wii on Sunday from GameStop on 7th Ave. Only had to wait 30 minutes in the cold! Way worth it - it's a lot of fun! :D :!:

Does anyone else want to exchange Wii codes? Ours is:

  • What does the code do? I got my wii last week (ebay). I tried updating it last night but it didn't like my internet connection! I want to download Super Marios! :-D

As I understand it, if two people add each other's Wii code to their address book, their Mii (Avatar) will appear in the plaza and/or in the "Mii Parade". I haven't witnessed it yet, though. Apparently you can also message each other right from the Wii.

  • yep, once both parties have their Wii codes entered and the Wiis confirm this, then and only then will it unlock and you be able to start exchanging messages and Miis. the Mii Parade will gradually fill up with Miis from other people in your address book, if you set those Miis to "mingle" when you created them. (So if you make a really ugly or fat Mii version of someone in your addressbook, don't let it mingle else you may have some explaining to do.)

On the whole, it is a pretty paranoid system, but great if you have kids.

Let's see some new miis start rolling through the plaza...
  • my wii hates my wifi :(
  • I've registered you Matrick and Markroth8. now what? have you registered me? or do you get some kind of accept mii message? My plaza is vacant. My parade lacks paraders.
  • Trainsmoke - I registered you as well. Once my contact appears non-greyed out (sometimes takes a bit) we should be able to exchange "Mii"s. You can do this by clicking "Friend" in the Mii parade and then A-B dragging the Mii into the friend icon and sending it. I just sent Matrick mine.
