What do you think of Amorina's new sign?

I haven't been over to Vandy for a few days -- does anyone have a photo?

i don't know if i like it, but i don't know what it looked like before except that it must have blended in a bit more for me to not notice it--in fact it made me stop in my tracks yesterday, note that it was open (because it seems like everytime i've walked by they were closed), and decide to stop in some time this week b/c i've never been

odd, they are open all the time (even mondays??) -
from what i found on menutopia it seems like 5-10 or 11 everyday with the exception of Mondays; i guess i just never noticed at the right time

funny you ask. i noticed it on the way to the train this morning. as a snobbish designer, it bothered me. the typography looks like it should be on a little boutique somewhere..probably because it totally clashes with the "....rustica" type below on the awning. are they gonna get rid of the authentic looking awning that they have i wonder?
also, *kerning is horrible between the a and the m. you can drive a fricking truck through it.
*kidding
oh. and i've never eaten there, because i've never been sure if its a fancy sit down place, or what...? the chalk board outside saying "get two slices get a free soda" makes it seem like a pizza shop, yet i see couples and families in there.... so i guess i've been afraid to try it out. -

It's nicer (and pricier, unsurprisingly, although not too ridiculous) than your basic grab-a-slice joint. Usually people order whole pies. They do a lot of delivery as well. I like their pizza quite a bit, and their salads are good as well -- you should definitely check it out sometime.
Here's some linkage to give you a better idea:

especially helped in my decision.
(sorry. feeling scampish today) -
thought from the description that i would hate it, but i actually find it -- in combination with the cucina rustica awning -- rather charming. something about the mix of old and new with the two signs appeals to me.
full disclosure: as long as they don't mess with their tiramisu recipe, there's little amorina could do to lose my affection. -
i'm getting used to it - maybe its not so bad.
very impressed by those who admit their self-absorbtion. -
I like the color combination, as well as the font, kerning aside...ALso think it works with the awning in a strange way, not bad though. Best pizza and beet/endive salad in the hood.

Oh, you have to try it! It's as good as Frannie's. The pizza with fig and prosciutto is incredible. Thin crust and high quality ingredients. The staff are usually confused but really nice. -
I don't mind the sign. I mean, it looks the same as the menu, which I'm totally used to since it's one of my favorite joints for takeout.
