what are the borders of bushwick??

north is flushing

west is broadway

south is cooper

east is cypress

beg to differ, but west is graham ave... NYCHA bushwick houses are between bushwick ave and humboldt.

all those trendy "williamsburg" industrial lofts on mckibbin and the ones out by the morgan L stop (and by the garbage transfer stations, etc.) are most definitely in bushwick... the landlords out there are calling it williamsburg (or "bushburg") so they can jack up the rent.

8:39, you should read the classic book, "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn". Francie, the main character, travels around the neighborhood she knows as Williamsburg. Not even East Williamsburg. Her Williamsburg includes Graham ave all the way to Broadway. Is that just another part of your conspiracy?

......totally right on those borders.

I live on Bushwick Ave two blocks before Flushing and while no one that I know is under any allusions that our area resembles Bedford Avenue, it is still definitely Wburg. The Montrose stop for example, asthetically is no different than what you will see off the Lorimer or Graham stops..maybe not as scrubbed up but it's mainly a hodge podge of brick houses,large apartment buildings, some aluminum siding nightmares, a smattering of cafes and resturants,etc.....this clearly changes once you cross Flushing.

Some of those signs are decades old. The East Williamsburg has been around a long time.

East Williamsburg was always the industrial area name, but since more residents are coming in, the name is being used more.

If a realtor calls it East Williamsburg , its probably Bushwick.

South of Broadway @ Myrtle is where chinese food ladies get shot in the face. Thats why the Realtors have to lie. Williamsburg hipsters will do anything to fit in with their type. They thrive on each other to keep their own self alive. They need to co-exist in the same neighborhood to be hipsters at all, its hard to explain but it is true.

Its like a necessary catalyst or the whole thing goes stale.

The realtors are privy to this, and so they make them feel comfortable enough to plop down $$$ on a place. Since hipsters don't mind dirt and grunge, and shabby "chic", the lines of Bushwick and W'Burg are blurred as one and the same.

This is all about the RealtorS !!! no one else could care what they label the place really, what is in it for anyone else to do so?
