I doubt one person not going there -- especially one who goes to bars as infrequently as I do -- will fuck up Ripple's growth. And I wasn't suggesting nobody else go; I was answering a question about why *I* have a problem with one of the owners. As I mentioned earlier, that's not the only reason I'm not going tonight. Maybe I'll check it out some other time, though! -

Yup, I'll come through. I live across the street. Should I be scared? Just for the record, Ripple is the dopest bar in Brooklyn, djuoh is mad cool in person, the rest of the owners are mad cool, and there is rarely any violence in the bar. Certainly less than at Soda. It's the only bar I know of where half the regulars don't even drink. It's that kind of place.

I don't know, I'm painfully shy when meeting new people. And Ripple is a bit of a trek from 5th ave, especially considering I need to get up and the ass crack of dawn for work.

So, for what it's worth, I've heard from a couple of people that the poster formerly known as Djuoh was there and was actually really nice in person. That's great to know. I wouldn't go so far as to say I or anyone else misjudged him, because his behavior here was all any of us had to go on. But maybe I will check Ripple out sometime after all.

Yeah, I think that sometimes when people are sitting at their computers, they forget that we're all neighbors here (and I'm just as guilty of this as anyone). I'm glad we got to meet in person, and hopefully we can all move past any disagreements we've had and try to get along better in the future, just as we would with our neighbors offline.
