Can someone recommend a good cobbler/shoe repair person? — Brooklynian

Can someone recommend a good cobbler/shoe repair person?

Can someone recommend a good cobbler/shoe repair person? I have some work that needs to be done to the soles of my shoes. They also need a good shine. Thanks, Agg.

  • The shoe repair place at 341 Flatbush (@ Park Place) does good work for a reasonable price.

But what I appreciate most is that it's one of those "only in Brooklyn" experiences: a joint Russian-Caribbean business. You can get your shoes repaired by friendly Slava (he'll also flirt with you if you are female), and shop for leather goods with a Rastafarian or rap motif custom-made by the West Indian guy.
  • Thanks for the tip! Best, Agg.
  • I'm partial to the Italian shoe repair right next to the Q train stop on Flatbush, just above 7th Avenue. The guy who owns(?) it/ works there is super nice and the prices are really reasonable. He does great work too.
  • I think you're talking about the same place as the first respondent, but thanks. Just dropped my shoes off. -Agg.
  • Subject: Above the Q train

    That cobbler does rule!
