The Thai place near us sucks — Brooklynian

The Thai place near us sucks

Me and my roommate got chicken pad thai...worst...pad...thai...ever. His smelled pretty bad, and mine had a whole bunch of dry granular things in it. All in all I cannot recommend them.

Also, the Circuit City at the Atlantic terminal mall has the worst service ever. If anyone was there yesterday, I was the dude who threw the network card on the floor and stormed out. They have some cute girls employed there...it's a shame they don't do any WORK

BK is awesome...but it seems at times the service is pretty lacking

  • Which Thai place? I think they're all pretty ordinary, but if one is worse, it'd be good to know.

I've met a fair few incompetant and even rude retailers in this town, and I always tell myself they're not trained to have a clue or paid to give a shit. But now you mention it, I think you're right, Circuit City @ Atlantic is right up there in the race to the bottom.
  • the entire atlantic center mall is the worst. target especially.

ive completely given up on ever asking for any assistance with anything.

i go to target maybe once every two months for things like garbage bags and laundry detergent. i basically view the people who work there as robots that stock the shelves and arent programed to interact with customers. they do however seem to congregate in groups of 4 or more and interface with each other.

if you want good thai walk over to to the begining of 7th ave off flatbush. that place mango is pretty good and they will deliver to you. just pick up a menu
  • jgregorie, the congregation is due to a faulty "swarming" protocol in the Target Droids. They were originally supposed to form organic swarms to move heavy merchandise, but the programming was buggy. Now they just randomly lump up and attempt to swap data packets until higher level unit comes along and resets them.

If they only DID restock the shelves...

    sigh.
  • Subject: circuit city

Hey, in defense of the Circuit City, I have had one really good experience there. I ran in and said "I need to buy my husband a flat screen monitor and I need it in 5 minutes." (Don't ask.) And the guy pulled it off for me. I couldn't believe it.

So, all of this talk about the clerks in the neighborhood reminds me of Mike Judge's Idiocracy. It's not that great, but he NAILS several things down (much like Office Space). Check it out. Look for the receptionist at the hospital and the greeter at the megalomart.
  • The thai place on Fulton and Clinton made me fart for a whole day and it was quite the aroma !!!terrible food, and forget about mango, try getting their Salmon!!!!!!It probably been kept in the walkin for a couple of weeks, i might as well be eating beef jerky!!!

  • hey hey dont knock on beef jerky. that stuff is godly.
  • I went in to shortcut shitty before Christmas and asked if they had any RCA cables. I kept getting directed to the TV's. "RCA? I think we have a TV by them over there."

    Idots.
  • so on the subject of thai food (remember?), has anyone else wondered about the decline of lemongrass? we've been going there for years. it used to be excellent--anything you ordered. at some point in the last couple of years they must have changed chefs. the sauces are all too sweet and gluppy.

still beats mango, but not by much.
