Parking in CH
hello everyone,
i have just spent half the day reading through these posts, and i have to say that i am glad to be moving into a neighborhood that cares about the community and wants to see it grow! i hope i can be a part of its growth.
that being said, i have also read numerous comments on crownheighsinfo.org and read that recently many cars have been broken into. although the area with the high car vandalism is by president and caroll and by kingston, albany, and troy, i live near there and am worried about my car. i'm wondering, for the community members that have cars, is it okay to park on the street, or should i look into a parking garage? if so, does anyone have recommendations? i will be living on montgomery street, between nostrand and new york avenue. thanks!

i don't live in your immediate area (i am on park and franklin), but fyi i have been parking my car outside for the last 4 years. The only incident that i had was a brick thrown into the side window last summer (i think). They didn't take anything (i had a couple of car seats and a stroller in the car). I think it was more vandalism than anything.
My brother-in-law had his side window smashed too a couple of years ago. She had a couple of big bags in the car..with dirty laundry! they threw the clothes on the floor and that was it.
i don't know of any garages near your area.
good luck!
