My Car was Stolen - Franklin/St. Marks
Much to my surprise, my 16 year old, beat up rusty car was stolen some time Tuesday. It was parked on St. Marks, near Franklin, along side the "Melo Grocery" (which is rarely open). We have filed a police report.
Now sometimes people will take a car like this for short joy ride, and park it back not far from where they started. Hence the following inquiry:
Have you seen/ could you please keep an eye out for:
A 1990 Plymouth Sundance, 4 door. Basically white in color, but the paint job failed about 10 years ago. Large areas of white paint pealed off, revealing grey primer. Over time large areas of primer rusted. The current look is a kind of irregular multi-tone. Very distinctive, even at night.
In addition the front end is pretty banged up. The bumber is cracked and the hood doesn't sit quite square. There is a big dent on the body above the front passenger side wheel.
All in all this car is not a thing of beauty and you may be thinking "Hey, sounds like they did you a favor." But the car drove perfectly fine, got good gas milage and in general served us well. We don't use it to commute, so it is really just for errands and occasional weekends, and it was just fine for that purpose. We do not want to spend thousands on a new or used car when we had a perfectly fine car.
Any leads would be helpful. If it is abandonned it might just be left alone on days when it should be moved. Please contact me at "amedden AT Vollmer (DOT) com".
Thanks,
