The YMCA in Park Slope ( Prospect Park)
I wanna join the Y , only for the basketball ,lol.
I saw on the website that they have basketball free play for girls only , on certain days.
So I was wondering how many people on here actually attend the Y and play b-ball? Like if I join wil I be stuck on the court running around by myself , or are there other weirdos like me that love that game?
Huh?

Well, I'm a guy.. ...but, from what I can tell there is girls B-ball there 2 or 3 times a week, I think they start at 7 and are playing after I leave at around 8:30.. they get a very good turnout... quality 5 on 5 full court games with at least 3 or 4 people waiting for next....

Hey you drunk
, thanks for the info.
One more thing though...how old are the girls that are playing basketball?
I am 26 years old , and I can't play girls that are like kids 12-17 years old.
It just won't look right [-X , and I don't want them to end up crying and throwing fits when I bust a j (jumpshot) in their face , cuz then I'll have a mob of Park Slope mothers coming after me [-o<
loooool , let me know please.

No, they're all about your age. I'm not sure if it's league play or how it works.
The Y can be good, although last month it was way too crowded, but I guess most gyms are unusually packed during January. We'll see how much longer the resolutions can hold out. -
Yea.. they are all 26 or older.... they definitley have a league, but the games I'm talking about are all pick up games..
And some of these girls are really really good.... -
Really , really good huh?
Damn , I am kinda rusty , haven't played in about a year
That doesn't matter anyway cuz it would most likely be 5 on 5 or whatever .
I live near Prospect Park , I haven't went all the way in it , does anyone know if there are any basketball rims in the park?
I have a ball , I just need the rim for practice......ooooh please tell me they do !
I went by the YMCA on 9th Street.....is that where the basketball is played?
The gym looked kinda small.....or maybe it was for the kids?
I don't even remember seeing rims :-k
I was picking up my boss's child....and he was running around in there.
Is there a seperate gym for adults , thats bigger?
Howdy, Stranger!
