As of todays NY Post, the 650 million dollars BAM District is slated to begin. I'm really looking foward to this. I just bought an apartment 1 block from there.

  • cool! think it'll ever happen? this has been in the making for like 7 years.
  • Ah, you guys clearly haven't been on this board long enough to know that you're supposed to be OPPOSED to any kind of development in downtown Brooklyn. Don't worry, you'll learn.
  • NYC Dept of Housing and Preservation put out a press release today about an RFP for a Dance Center/Affordable Housing/Retail mixed use development in the BAM LDC:

  • Fulton and Ashland? Must be planning to use the old liquor store space + parking lot (where Forté Condos sales office is now). That could end up being a cool little corner one day - with the Bam Harvey right there and Forté ground-floor retail (which will hopefully be something cool, not another Duane Reade or CVS).

I agree. I think we have enough pharmacies. How about a nice restaurant? The area certianly needs more of them.
