  • That musta took alot of crackers to clean that vent.
  • Oh no! I was hoping that picture would never see the light of day!
  • i think it should be a ganghand signal. make a c with the right hand, a v witht the left. flash that shit in pictures yo, and rep'a'sent.

    vivo el carneviento!
  • Hey, can someone identify those people (for us reclusive folks who fear to venture out of our apartments --- for fear, of course, of terrorist and / or nuclear attacks --- and therefore would love to have a sense of "what you guys look like") !!

    Thanks.

    :D
  • oh .. well, ok. :?
  • Candicissima is the hipster-looking one.

that was more than a tad rude ... in tone, not in content, for which i am sure you have your reasons.
  • I think most of are are identified in the titles of the pictures from the last happy hour here:

  • It's of no consequence to me. I was just curious.

I think Andy's kind of stressed because they're trying to shut down his board and he's working to find another server before they do it. Cut him a little slack.
  • Many here have to closely guard their identity- it's not that they're worried about their own safety... not at all. They're worried about attacks on loved ones- family, friends, pets, potted plants that have survived more than 3 moves...
  • Both Andy and I and a few others are not to keen about being physically spotted on the boards, in large part due to people like Anon G. It's one thing to come to a DH event in person, but another to have a photo in perpetua on a board with your name tacked to it, especially if it's a neighborhood board. I personally had to remove a lot of identifying info from my site after things got semi threatening here and a certain mental case started spilling over from this board to my site, reposting my blog posts here and all kinds of creepy shit and also because I really didn't want someone knocking on my door or coming up to me on the street. A skinny, pantywaist quitter like me needs to stay out of jail.

They're not mutually exclusive, you know...

Natch. But, I don't look like a hipster either. I was going to say "the token" but I decided against it.

You wouldn't have been the only one if nybt and muk hadn't been so afraid of getting trounced by Isa at ping pong. :P
  • nybt wrote: yeah, i have seen the guy (side note- damn he's ripped [envy, not lust]). from what i've read, smaller people DO tend to be more elastic... but i CAN eat... ask my wife.
I read an interview where he stated that before a competition, he goes on a massive water drinking binge to stretch his stomach. Probably not so healthy.

BLEAH! That is disgusting and hilarious. Muchissimas gracias!
  • jayce wrote: so official welcome to the hood nybt. when did you officially land and how are you liking it so far?
Huh?! :D Whew! it only took me two years to get an official welcome to the neighborhood!!! And people say that New Yorkers aren't friendly!!!

We (wife and I) love the neighborhood- we'll be here a while. Sorry folks! You're stuck with us!
  • uh... who took the thread?!
  • Got split by me. Title was confusing! It's now the "competitive eating, etc." thread.

I know! :) I was a little distracted at work (don't you hate it when work interferes with your internet activities?!) mid-post. By the time I'd actually finished, you've moved the thread from under my feet!!! Oh well!
  • Sorry! It had gotten so long it took a few minutes to scan through and identify the posts to be moved.

Trust me- glaciers made significant progress in the time that it took me to finish that post!
