Thanks Guest, though I'd say it sounds like you need to get some interests yourself, other than trolling old message board threads from last year. In thinking you're bringing something to the table by giving my your unsolicited advice on how to live my life makes you sounds like the bigger loser here.

This doesnt qualify as a celebrity, but I'm sitting right across from Bill DiBlasio at the Tea Lounge (and no, i wont take a photo of him and post it here.)
What's interesting is that he's giving political advice to some guy he arranged to meet here within earshot of all the people here. -
I almost forgot a good one - I got to go onstage for the Penn and Teller trick where they shoot each other. I inspected the revolver and all that (looked legit to me). Teller spoke to me, which was pretty cool- I mean, I knew he could speak, but it was a neat way to confirm it.
-
i believe i've seen kathyrn erbe (several times) and jeffrey wright (once) in or near starbux on 7th ave at 1st street.
-
if i was really crazy and bored, i'd tape the conversation between these 2 politicos at the tea lounge right now and sell it to the press. alot of political strategy talk going on, and talk of who's going to be running for brough president next, mayor, etc.
local celebs know to watch out for me now, but the politicos have no idea who they're sitting next to. -
Does Bill DiBlasio actually count as a celebrity? It seems like I see that guy striding along 7th Avenue almost every day.

Pretty cool, D.
Hey, doesn't Teller teach a class at some college? -
I like round numbers, so I had to contribute the 100th post on this topic.

WOW! and the first post on the second page!!! Today is a good day!
-
Damn! Its not a nice round number anymore :-(

Subject: Re: Steve Buscemi on the F train this morning
Who is Steve Buscemi ?
yes, thats a serious question, no joke; never heard of the guy. Perhaps I've seen his face on tv andjust do not know his name , though that picture doesn't look familiar.
I've seen "some" celebs,
Vincent GUardenia, Sophia Loren, Jimmy Smits, Connie Walker, all the politicians, (at NY and at the White House), Rangel, Shumer, Guiliani, Kock, Bush, and a ton of others, Jackie Torrence, Richard Simmons, Robert S. Woods, Mary Tyler Moore, Rhoda ,lol, Mike Hebranko (he was the man who went up to 1400 pounds), Rev Billy Graham, Robert Schuller, Johnny Cash, RUth Carter Cash, Nikki Cruz, Kathy Lee, Joe Franklin, Barry Farber, some basketball greats, Daisy Eagen (Youngest Tony Award winner), and more.
I know, you've probably never heard of some of them either, but they are and were famous (some now dead) .
None of these are "paparazzi" shots but all shots that were in places where the general public would see these celebrities.
Well, except for the White House and the INauguration shots, the rest were quite public.
How would you like to come on television and talk about your celebrity sitings? Studio is in NYC.
Appearances are voluntary --no pay. That's just an idea.
You can find any celebrity in public if you are patient, and you don't have to invade their privacy, either. So keep on looking and you will find them."Cabaki" wrote: I was discreet as possible, i dont think he noticed - i should be a cell phone paparazzo!
Now I just need to run into JConnelly at the Tea Lounge again, and I'm set.

-
Mr. S relieved himself at the urinal next to me at the Pavillion. I avoided an awkward moment. I knew who he was but I resisted telling him "I'm a big fan of your work."

How did I miss all this?
The funniest part that no one here mentioned is that after trying to shame Cabaki for taking a photo of Buscemi, these other sites POST the photo, therefore increasing the number of views this very "stalkerish" picture has gotten!! -

Funny you just responded to this now, I came face to face with Buscemi on the subway again last week - didnt have time to take a pic this time.

Haha, that's funny.
I've never seen any celebs on the train.
A friend of mine saw Heath Ledger and Michelle... and another ran into Keanu Reeves on the train... but I just get stuck with the crazies. Haha. -

Thank god for not. Celebrities are human beings too and their privacy should be respected during their off stage time. -

How is that sarcasm when you started this thread about taking Buscemi's pic? I've seen him a number of times, I even know which house he lives in, but I would never take his pic nor any other celebs. Not that I'd want to take a celebs pic. -

Yawn. This thread is SOO last year. -
The guy who busted those two mafia cops also lives in the Slope - my personal favorite celeb sighting.

Picture or it did not happen

That's cool that Buscemi takes the subway. The only other celebrity strap hanger I've heard about is Matthew Broderick. Or, at least he was while he was in The Producers.
Hanging around the stage door of Broadway theaters is a great way to see these folks. I met Liev Schreiber and Kevin Spacey that way. Actually, I met Spacey several years before at a party in San Francisco and I was REALLY baked. That was surreal. If you ever meet a celebrity, I recommend being high.
Schreiber actually made my knees weak - literally. That man is HOT. -
No way! I also smoked w/Spacey during their Usual Suspects tour. Ha! Stoner.
-
No! Really? I wasn't sure if he smoked and I was tempted to ask him. I've heard tales of him doing a bit of blow though.
One of my friends smoked with Sean Penn a few years ago. Penn's a notorious wake and baker - at least around the SF Bay Area. Harrison Ford's also down with the chronic, which explains a lot.
But my favorite celebrity drug story comes from an old friend of mine. He did blow back in the 80s with Jerry Mathers.....otherwise known as "The Beav". -
