this problem sounds grave, I wouldn't enlist a pack of worgs. experience has shown them to be unstable, they might turn on you
a rogue berzerker is overkill and would ruin walls and carpet
its best to use zombie pirates but only if you can turn-undead
hm how bout a construct or a golem? -
emily - can you describe the guy in any detail?
-
So ParadeRest, are you saying that if Emily calls the 77 and tells them the whole story, including the part she forgot to post here about when she asked to see his ID as he was leaving and he refused, that then this situation can be investigated further?
-
How about Emily goes to the 77 pct and speak with the Detective squad? She can find out if there have been similar complaints made in the area, and if this is in fact a pattern. For future reference, you can always request the ID of the suspect and call the agency directly to verify his/her identity. I'd still like if you can provide a description of this guy and the license plate number to his vehicle.

Did she forgot to post that part or are you assuming that she forgot to post that part. If you go up towards the top of this thread Emily said that instead of asking to see his ID she just closed the door on him. I don't think she ever did ask for ID. -
Well, while all this discussion has been going on... Emily, I hope you've been beefing up your doors and windows, and talking with your neighbors.

Hey there,
Sorry I've been away--have a new freelance assignment where I don't want to fritter away my time online.
Let's see, description. The guy was not terribly tall for a guy (5'7 or 8?), had short dark hair and somewhat dopey looking '80s glasses. He was wearing a short, plain, brown leather jacket. He had medium-dark skin--I'd say he was Hispanic or South Asian, not black or white.
(This is sort of making him sound like a real inspector. The reasons I was suspicious were that when I asked him what I wanted, there was this pregnant pause, like "Why am I here? Hmmm, um um um, I'm here to inspect something because of ... um, some complaints by tenants" and because he didn't seem to know what apartment(s) he needed to see at all. You'd think he'd have a list or something, and would have buzzed those apartments specifically. Presumably my husband, whose term as board president recently expired, wasn't one of the "tenants" complaining to the city without me knowing about it...)
The car was one of those smallish SUVs...looks like an SUV, more like the size of a car. AMC-1139. The back was really dirty from the snow but it looked dark blue.
If it turns out that this guy really was a city inspector and just really inept, I'll delete the description.
apollonia, I've mentioned it to the neighbors I ran into, and I think the management company is going to put up some signs about not just buzzing people in. I think sometimes people just do it when they don't want to get bothered by people ringing again and again. -

I'm just asking whether that scenario would result in the situation actually being investigated. -
If he refused ID, yes.
