DH weekly outing EVERY WEDS 6:30 @ SODA TONIGHT 9/21

Wednesdays seem to have worked in the past...
-
I like the idea of introducing games, you know, beyond the sick little mind games we usually play with each other.

Will someone bring Trivial Pusuit? -
Let's do it.
-
Cool!
-
I think we have a copy of the Trivial Pursuit 20th Anniversary edition that's never even been opened. In addition to other, less pristine board games like the Simpsons Trivia game.
-
Well. let's let some more people weigh in and we'll have another poll for the date. I personally have no preferences.
Games sound like an excellant idea. Someone was pushing Settles of Cataan elsewhere on the board, so that could be an option. I think I have trivial pursuit kicking around. -
my roommates and I like to drink, a lot.
-
I'm all for it. Especially since it seems to have moved to practically weekly anyways. My liver and/or head the next day will hate me, but what else is new?
There's gotta be a DJ among us. We should have a DH weekly party! -
That sounds like a great idea. Someone has to teach me how to play this Settlers of Catan thing. I've been reading about it and I think that I'll inevitably become totally addicted (although it can't possibly be as bad as my total Civ III dependence).
-
Subject: Cool
I digs the idea. -
Count me in

I'll bring scrabble if anyone is interested. My former regular scrabble opponent got engaged and there's been a marked decrease in scrabble-time
I'm not like those people in the scrabble documentary, but I DO know all the Q words without U's! -

Rome: Total War is awesome, but soon, very soon...CIV IV!! -
Since it seems like we have a bunch of hard drinking, board game playing people just bleeding at the ears for this... I've revised the poll at the top of this page. Pick a day. EmilyM suggests Weds. I suggest Septursday...I love that day.
-
Well, DaveB, you can show up at Soda any night you want and be certain that at least one other person will show up.
(I keed, I keed...) -
I work late every day of the week- what's the difference?
No matter the night, I should be able to make it every now and then. I don't think that I'd be able to show 'til after 9pm, so I'll probably only meet those with the talent and the dedication to be alcoholics... then I'll have to play catch-up!

Well, from attending other DH nights, I have the idea that this might work best... Official start is 6:30 pm, that seems to work best for parents and then whoever hangs around or comes as the night goes on makes for more fun. Whoever stays past midnight wins a sticker with a pony on it.

So, show up anytime I guess but no earlier than 6:30 or else you'll be flying solo. -

Not that there's anything wrong with that...
Sounds good to me! I look forward to tippin'em back on a semi-regular basis! -
I arbitrarily voted for Wednesday. And I love Trivial Pursuit.
-
Looks like I f'd up my leg during the 18 mile run on Saturday, so I might be out of running commission for a week or two. The good news is that this opens my drinking schedule right up...

I love me some Scrabble. Though after a few drinks I might start using words like "Septursday"
I also have Boggle, dominoes, cribbage, and Pente.
If anyone has Pictionary, that person is my new best friend. Best drunk game ever.
Oh yeah, and I will show up sometimes on any night ya'll decide on. Earlier in the week is better for avoiding other plans, later in the week is better for avoiding the hangover call-in...take your pick, I say. -
Well, it looks like the majority is going for Weds, so that's it. Weds, 6:30 pm till bedtime every damn week till we decide differently. Bring your drinking pants. Bring your children. Bring your board games. Don't bring mother,
-
Excellent. I am glad you guys are all so suggestible.

See you next week. I'll probably show up around the middle of the evening, like 7:30 or 8. -
Sounds great! Let's combine the Settlers with this. Erin and I will show up a bit earlier than 8PM, then.
-
Now here's the question. Are we doing it this Weds. or are we starting next week? I for one am always down.
-
I'd still like to get together for Settlers this Wednesday.

Subject: This Wed. at Beast?

This Weds. is the Fundraising party at Beast. Was anyone planning on going to that? -
So, no problem.
Tomorrow night is Settlers of Cataan night and beer for those interested or not planning to attend the Beast event.
Next Weds. is the official start of the DH weekly board games and booze blowout. -
I won't be making the game night tomorrow, something's come up. But, I will be there for the next week when the official weeklies start.
