Me & Joe are getting the same test done tomorrow and we could only have clear liquids today and drink a gallon of this mixture. Yuck !!!

I am taking a writing class and my topic is girls in the old neighborhood. All names will be changed so don't worry.

Does anybody have any memories of girl gangs in our neighborhood or in Windsor Terrace. I remember the "Debs" who used to wear gold and maroon jackets (?) and would fight other girls at the slightest provocation. I think if you went above seventh avenue, the gang girls would jump and beat the crap out of anybody walking along the cemetery wall. Anybody else remember them or others, like the South Brooklyn Girls?

Does anybody have any stories to support the horrible things that used to be said about Bay Ridge (Gay Ridge) like girls being sexually attacked in the bathrooms by other girls? The use of plungers and broomsticks? Pushed onto the subway tracks during robberies or just for fun? Were these just exaggerated teenage stories? (Am I making them up?)

How about John Jay? Was it a dangerous place for girls? If so, what are some stories?

Does anybody remember "LAMF," "LAMMF," "DTK" or any other acronyms from the neighborhood?

What about racial hostilities in the neighborhood? Puerto Rican girls vs. white girls? Anything? Were there black girls in the neighborhood and how were they treated?

Did anybody know about girls carrying weapons like razor blades in their cheecks or taped to their upper thighs in case of a fight?

Does anybody remember a particularly spectacular girl fight? Gang war?
Jumpings? What was the worst you've ever seen?

Were there certain blocks that were off limits to certain people, e.g. no PRs, no Irish?

Do you remember any stories of revenge of one or more girls on another girl over (most likely) a boy?

Who were the toughest girls in the neighborhood and what did they look like and what did they do? Cissy Lauterback, for example. Did "good" girls dress differently from "bad girls (beep beep)?"

What were the colorful words girls used to curse out other girls? Italian, Spanish, or Brooklynese words: putana, puta, whore, who'a, bitch, etc.?

Ever see a girl attack or hit a teacher? Ever see a teacher go postal on a girl?

Ever see a girl beat up a guy? Any guy willing to admit he was beaten up by a girl?

I would really like to put together a great piece about the neighborhood. It will be written in a playful way, and will hopefully amuse many of you.

Please contribute a memory. If it becomes a best seller, I'll throw you a few simoleons, have a paid for open bar at the reunion, and balloons.
