SO one night she called again and I told my husband to get in the car and let's go see where the smoke was this time. I took the scanner and as we started out, they gave a 10-75 for 352- 20th Street, lol. Her house. We ran over there and sure enough, they were breaking the windows out on the top floor and pulling the ceiling. Then they realized that the main fire was 2 doors away !!!! They cut open the roof and all !!!

No, it was a 10-75 but they picked my mother's house instead of 2 doors away. But they were row frames, so, they went at all 3 houses.

It was in the cockloft anyway and would have spread just the same. My mother was walking around outside with half her hair dyed in a daze, lol.

Elena would have knocked me in the head !!! My husband used to get very impatient because I could stand over there and talk to him for hours. When I was younger, I used to listen to the scanner with him and follow him when he went to check out smoke in neighbors homes.

Janet On a 6X tour we we were called as an xtra truck for a fire on 21st between 6th and 7th aves. any way after the job I was changing my mask and a relative of Sally Vendettis's was there and remembered me and proceeded to tell the brothers how she would babysit for me and change my diapers. You know how well that went over at the firehouse.

Bob is fine. He just misses the regular talk on the blog. He's not into the pictures & videos, etc, so he goes to facebook most of the time.

TOMMY, OMG, I HAVE NOT SEEN JACKIEI N YEARS. I JUST RECENLTY CONNECTED BACK W/DONNA & KENNY AFTER SO LONG. DONNA & I WERE BEST OF FRIENDS BACK IN THE DAY:) SO GLAD TO BE KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH THEM AGAIN:) IT'S LIKE WE NEVER LOST THE CONNECTION
