Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

I was finally able to tell my son to come in and stop building our escape vehicle !!! LOL.

I got tired of trying to collect 2 of each animal !!

And my neighbors can finally go home.
I wasn't letting them on the ark no matter what.

Went to see my aunts. I have to go back sunday. If her cough is no
better doctor said to take her to the ER. He's afraid because she's so
frail it could turn into pneumonia. Hopefully not.

Soon, school will be out !! Schools let out here on the 11th.
They had to change the dates by law because the kids used
to get out in May before, and go back in August.

Well, hopefully they don't use straws to drink with. I took
care of a woman until she was 102 yrs. old and straws are
a no no. It is a direct path for liquids to get into the lungs
which is a big danger for the elderly.

They are too weak most of the time to cough enough to get
the fluid out of their lungs, and pneumonia sets in.

They have to take deep breaths and blow the air out as long as
possible. That helps them remove fluid from the lungs.

Janet.....I didn't know that about the straws. It's hard for her to hold a cup so she uses a straw.

A sippy cup is better.

She may be coughing because too much liquid is getting into her
lungs, and it will become disastrous.

Seriously though Debbie, the best thing is to get her a two
handled sippy cup. It is small and doesn't hold too much and she can
hold it with 2 hands. It won't be too heavy.

You're welcome Debbie. While sleeping, she should have 2
pillows so she isn't laying down too flat.

If she doesn't want to get sippy cups, styrofoam cups are
very light to hold.

OK Joe, you can come back with your jester act, lol.
