I STARTED TO TAKE OUT MY VALENTINE'S DAY DEOCRATIONS. I WILL PUT THEM UP NEXT WEEKEND. XMAS DECOS STILL OUTSIDE THE HOUSE. MY HUSBAND WILL TAKE THEM DOWN WEDNESDAY AND UP WILL GO VALENTINE'S DAY DECOS. LOL

OH, KEVIN WAS GOING INTO FDNY. BUT ACADEMY WAS CANCELLED DUE TO RECESSION. HE WILL BE CALLED IN AS SOON AS THE CADEMY OPENS, BUT WHO KNOWS WHEN THAT WILL BE

KEVIN HAS PERMIT FOR FIREARMS. HE IS ALSO A HUNTER. HE TAKES MY DAUGHTER NATALIE TO THE SHOOTING RANGE AND TEACHES HER HOW TO HANDLE FIREARMS. SHE WILL ALSO BE AGETTING HER PERMIT SOON:)

Janet ...thats the way it was with us at PD's 911 ...you couldnt leave ....unless you were relieved ....and if alot of the next shift was out ...you had to do another tour ...that was a killer after doing a midnight tour!

My friend Rocky must be working because she didn't answer her home or cell. She is a chief and they may be busy. I even texted her, so she will get back to me, and I will let you know asap. She lives on SI. Lost her husband to cancer last year. He was retired from the FDNY also.

I was just asking ...because I know they need Security ...but they have to be able to carry a firearm ....he'll find something!

Why does she need a permit. She can't carry a gun in the city, right?? Only retired POs and Fire Marshals, etc.

Actually, I didn't think they gave any civilians gun permits unless they were being stalked and their life threatened!!

thats why when Patsy says ....I cant wait to get out of work ...I know that feeling ....but when you have to saty for another tour ....you want to cry ....your body just cant handle all that stress !!!!

My husband used to bring his guns here, but in traveling across state lines, they had to be unloaded and locked in the vehicle, bullets separate, away from the gum.

I guess you can still have a registered gun at home...but a carry permit is very difficult to get these days

Here, if you want to carry a gun, it has to be in full sight. You have to get a concealed gun permit to hide it on yourself or in your car. Wacky !!!
