I eat alot for dinner I love my dinner. Last night we had cawliflower with garlic and olive oil oh mike forgot the parsley just thinking about it and of course parm. cheese on it. nice delicious pork chop, baked potatoe and delicious salad mike made i did the cawliflower he did the rest.. what a man!!! and kate ruined my dessert thank god lol

that was my walk in and that i rented to someone mike knew thank God. that is the house mike and i own together that is our commitment not a marriage certificate. lol

Your mother will do well. Remember the AcquaFour. She will start getting tired as the treatments progress.

In the future, you/your sis/mom - might want to read up on Lymphedema.

Not to scare you - but to INFORM YOU. I was not that knowledgeable about it - and unfortunately got it three years after chemo and radiation. I didn't know that you could get it from radiation alone (when I read that I thought I'd let you know).

I got it because of the sentinel node biopsies they did to test that the cancer didn't spread - they removed lymph nodes from under my right arm. Now, without some lymph nodes, I have a problem circulating lymph system - so I have to wear one of those compression sleeves and am not supposed to lift anything heavy (I'm sure that's what caused mine; carrying my laptop and briefcase all those years... and groceries, etc.)

Again, I was naive - and would have been more concious of what I did
with my right arm had I known. She can try to prevent it by being careful, but once you get - no cure - just compression sleeves, physical therapy/massage - and some who have it worse, have to go have arm/whatever manually drained. There's much written on this... Here's a sample link below and hope this is helpful.

I don't think she'll have a problem, and quite frankly, I think I am the
minority. Haven't met too many other women who have this problem.

At the very least, when she finishes her radiation in 6+ weeks, to ask
if she should wear a compression sleeve when she flies.
(If so, she needs to get measured for a sleeve on the side where the
radiation is given)
