How many new developments are there in Prospect Heights? — Brooklynian

How many new developments are there in Prospect Heights?

anonymous
edited November -1 in Prospect Heights
I am reviewing the prescoping document for the Atlantic Yards EIS and am trying to ascertain how many other developments are in the works in Prospect Heights. I thought I'd turn to the dailyheights experts on neighborhood development. Please let me know if you know of any new building or major renovations of existing buildings, which might add additional units.

  • This outlines the condo development in BK, by neighborhood, over the past few years. Maybe not as comprehensive as you'd like, but it's a start.

  • Thanks for the tips - the site's have been very helpful. Does anyone know anything about the site on Sterling (between Washington and Classon)?

Are you referring to the space that used to be a parking garage? If so, I believe it will be turned into condos. My source could be wrong...

    Dean between Washington and Underhill

something is going on on St. Marks between Underhill and Washington

Park Place between Carlton and Vanderbuilt

    Richard Meir building on Plaza

    Sterling between Classon and Washington

Washington between St. Marks and Bergen

    Washington between Bergen and Dean

The new 3-story buildings along Underhill and running down Dean

soon even the people who drove the Heights rent crazed will be out of here, this neighborhood will soon be only affordable for the rich..
  • St. Marks 'tween Underhill and Washington.
  • Subject: developments

It is going to be condos with garage on St Mark's between Underhill and Washington. Same landlord as 93 Underhill.

  • I'm guessing this is 735 Dean and, if so, from the DOB records it shows Mark Gould as the architect.

The owner is listed as Bayraktar Erol and Technic Realty LLC. Can't tell who did the actual work.

  • I just saw a new chain link construction fence go up at Carlton & Dean. It must be a residential development, but it's in the footprint.

There was also something I never noticed before on Fulton & Classon which seems a few months away from completion.

  • drove by the firehouse this weekend and someone had put out flowers in the 2nd floor windows. so either someone already owns this place and is trying to spruce it up while it is still being built, or the developer is really going all out to appease the neighbors while he is building out..

anyhow, any more details on this?

Theres something going on around the corner from the Jewish Hospital on St Marks between Classon and Franklin; I think its the same developers who did the hospital.
Its apparent theres a ton of housing being put in place... now when do the store, bars and restaurants come??

It is a small condo. But, if by footprint you mean the Atlantic Yards/Ratner footprint, that condo is not in the footprint.
  • i saw the chain link fence also. do you know what the condo is?
