Park Slope Stroller Patrol is this annoying anyone but me?
I am getting to the point where I am afraid to walk the streets without being run over by these strollers. These people take up the entire sidewalk while having conversations about what kind of organic vegetables to serve for dinner. I saw one woman trying to convince her 7 yr old kid that carrots taste better than ice cream and he shouldnt be eating cookies at lunch because they are not healthy. This kid will turn out to be fatter than anyone. Good job "mom". Forget about cursing while walking down seventh ave. I was on the phone and let the "f" bomb fly, this woman looked at me and said told me I shouldnt curse around children. Granted I should have watched my tongue a little but it is a public spot and need to share the neighborhood and get it out of their heads that they own the place. And yes for those of you who say I am not from here and uncouth, I happen to live on Prospect Park West so I am very much indeed a resident

this thread is going places.

Can someone just compare the stroller moms or the stroller haters to Hitler so we can declare this thread Godwined and be done with it?

Just not via strollers...
(hasn't this topic been covered extensively?) -
Please. Lock. Thread.

Beware. Nazi. Stroller. Moms.

This is when the fight breaks out. On the protesters' side of the police line, three young women with babies in strollers salute the Nazis. Immediately, they are surrounded by screaming protesters. One young Nazi mother cradles a baby in one hand and uses the other to punch a young man repeatedly in the face until he is bloody. A young Nazi man who is with her stands back and lets her be the warrior. The strategy works: The man who has been beaten will not hit a woman. The crowd allows them to leave.

Call me crazy but I have a feeling this is either a troll trying to start shit or the NY Times is fishing for another Park Slope story.

Mommie hatin' mannies ... and the women that hire them. -

Dear Original Poster,
Thank you for your profound insight. As it turns out there are many posts on this board that have posed the same observation regarding park slope moms and strollers. Use the search button on the top of the page to find all the similar threads. Trust me there's plenty, and trust me, there is really nothing you can add to the conversation that has not been said before. I did a search on Stroller Mafia and came up with about 400 hits  that's a lot!
Enjoy! -

Shame on that mom for letting her kids hand out on 7th Avenue and picking up potty mouths from us brutes!
Will she roll her stroller into the bars and yell at us for drinking in front of the kids?
Will she put an end to public urination?
Our public spaces are in danger of becoming sanitized. This woman MUST BE STOPPED!!!! -
Huh. I've lived in Park Slope for a while and I haven't noticed any strollers.

Don't be silly- If I actually left the house, how could I lurk on this board 24/7?

Ah, yes, of course.

I served organic vegetables for dinner last night, but alas, I have no stroller...

I am getting to the point where I am afraid to walk the streets without being run over by these converted fixed-gear walkers. These people take up the entire sidewalk while having conversations about what kind of organic coffee to spend $4 a sleeved cup on . I saw one american apparelled wisp of a grown man trying to convince his 37 yr old friend that Built to Spill is better than Rogue Wave and he shouldnt be on myspace anymore because facebook is so much better. This man will turn out to be lonlier than anyone. Good job "bro". Forget about walking down seventh ave. I was on the sidewalk when this bearded man walking his Iro looked at me whipped out his iPhone and began texting furiously. Granted I should have been thumbing through songs on an iPod but it is a public spot and need to share the neighborhood and get it out of their heads that they own the place. And yes for those of you who say I am not from here and uncouth, I happen to live on 6th ave so I am very much indeed a resident -
HA! Ahab, I think you just described my husband! (but he rides a Falcon frame..)

Funny. Like park slope madlibs. -
I happen to enjoy being pushed around in a stroller. So sorry if that inconveniences the rest of you.

Carmen! Very funny and old school. You never hear anyone use the phrase "going places" anymore. It's time to bring it back. -

I do what I can. I'm trying to bring back the term "ace" as well (that's so ace) but apparently it's just me. Whatever. -
Is there some sort of invisible barrier around PS that doesn't allow strollers out?
Just curious because I live on the edge of PS and there has been a rash of perfectly good strollers abandoned on my street. Drunks like to push them out into the middle of Flatbush Ave. late at night. -

You guys--this ain't right. When I first joined this board, I didn't go looking for old threads. I didn't even know what an "OP" was! Sirvigo checks out this site, says something, and gets attacked! He could've just been linked to the other posts, but instead was chewed up and spit out contemptuously. If any of you were treated this way, we'd hear your complaints here, and add the usual "this is racist" "if ya don't love it leave it" "stroller nazis suck" adage as well.
I think it's funny that this was his/her 1st post. Just goes to show it ain't over till it's over.
PLAY NICE!! -
TC, you're right. There have been some trolls lately who try to stir things up for the purpose of creating fodder for other local blogs or the NYT. They tend to intentionally push people's buttons on topics that have become well-worn paths for many of us. However, the OP isn't necessarily one of these.
Howdy, Stranger!
