Big Songs of Summer 2008 - What's on your radar?

Subject: Big Songs of Summer 2008 - What's on your radar?

So, what'll be the big songs this summer?

This one's totally catchy, stays in your head for its hook alone
(before you get into other notable reasons, ) :

****edited to correct for mind-bendingly stoopid typo: did I seriously use "it's" instead of "its" above? Whatanass.

"It's" above is correct. It's when you use "its" as pro-noun doing some heavy ass possession that you have to be careful.

BigGuy was the one that first brought this precious jewel into this site.

I still think about it sometimes , as you can tell , and I just sit around laughing when it comes to mind. I have flash backs of the dancing.

LOL! This is the funniest music video I have ever seen. And the thing that
cracks me up the most is that this fucker is serious. This is his video , it's a real music video...it's real! They thought they were doing a good job. This shit cost money to make. Someone thought it was a good idea and paid.WHY??? OMG WHY!

  • Another catchy one that's getting a ton of play is this one:

Estelle - American Boy ft. Kanye West

Not brand new, but I guess it's being pushed really heavily as a summertime single now.

Also trying to place the song they sampled in there (the bass line and
    melody are soooo familiar...).

    Any guesses?

  • that estelle tune was featured on step it up and dance (I think that's the name of the show - the one that's two hours one day and then an hour the next) - I wondered the same thing, jeffrey, re the hook.

my summer hit (okay fine, can't seem to find an official video. however, this is amusing ...):
