This is a handy web-site though.

WARNING: Do not look up places you like eating at here :)
Yeah, and here is the right Fuel.

FYI - The majority of restaurants have ZERO points.

    ughhhh
What did you order that came with a roach?

Are you sure you didn't ask for a grasshopper taco?

If the roach was unintentional it's scary to think about what other unintentional objects could end up in Fuel's food.

Yes. Maybe you were lucky and their next customer will bite into glass.
  • Eddie Izzard was great! He also has a show tonight and tomorrow night at Radio City.

filmlover, most restaurants have points. (i am not being facetious or snarky... )

  • in fact, stone park (a place we are not supposed to talk about. however, this is public knowledge from the nyc department of health) has 27 points.
  • Subway on 5th Ave- 42 POINTS!

    Ewwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    La Bagel Delight 38 points.

WTF? I thought places like Subway were more regulated than no-name restaurants.

Yeah, this does not appear hold true in Park Slope!
  • Haaaaa...sorry, it's not really funny but the way you told the story made me laugh. Reminds me of the time a friend of mine and I were at a popular West Village for schwarma/falafal and he was about to take a bite of his sandwich...well, I just heard "ARRRRGHH!" So I check out the fuss and there's a HUGE live roach on its back, front row center in his sandwich. Little guy was waving his tahini-covered legs at us as he struggled to get right side up - it was almost cute. Close call there, AND the dopes were almost ready to argue over the question of a refund until we offered to show the sandwich around to our fellow patrons and see if they thought we deserved one.

    Done with that joint.
  • Gross! Granted it could happen (almost) anywhere! One of my favorite places (which I won't name) had a roach crawling up the wall slowly as I ate. When I told the owner, he freaked, and was so apologetic. "It happens," I said, "This is nyc!" And I still eat there.
But FUEL is a weird place!! I was so psyched when they opened, their menu looked great. But I don't think the "owner" was EVER there. The staff is part of the eye-rolling-cell-talking generation that obviously doesn't know the 1st thing about juicing or whatever. I've walked out twice in disgust, luckily not like yours!
I love the 9th St juice place (when they're) open. I'm not saying you have to be knowledgeable about what you serve--but, like 9th st.--JUST BE NICE!!

Haha. Yeah, that one chick at the counter is so unenthusiastic, I have to laugh a little. I've seen the owner once or twice--I think he's usually at their Bay Ridge location. I'm not a big smoothie person, so I haven't run into that problem. I'm just there for the buffalo meat which, as long as that's good, I'll keep eating there.
