(If you need something to drive u crazy)
On the November 4 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio program, G. Gordon Liddy spoke to a caller who stated: “I’m ready to go to the concentration camp, that [Sen. Barack] Obama’s police force — he will round me up. Because I — I’m a white American.” Liddy then said, “Well, listen to this,” and aired an edited clip of Obama saying in a July 2 speech in Colorado Springs: “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” Liddy then stated: “Shades of the Gestapo. The Geheime Staatspolizei,” to which the caller replied: “How’s the cooking going to be? What will — what will they serve, at the camp?” Liddy responded: “Well, I think, probably, there’ll be ham hocks and turnip greens.”

very, very true -
McCain associated Obama with Bill Ayers. Obama associated McCain with G. W. Bush. Which association was more damaging in the end.

The one that was legitimate and relevant. -
Wow. He's not even in office yet and Obama is already sitting down with an unpopular, aggressive world leader without preconditions.

This is hilarious. There is definitely way too much inbreeding going on in some parts of this country.

I'll tell you what considering not to much of the population can point to NYC on a map, including native NY'ers, it doesn't surprise me there are citizens who think the president can serve three terms. I challenge anyone who knows politics to ask three people they find on the street if they know the line of succession to the presidential office. Extra points if they can name said successionists (is that even a word?).

Well, as far as much of the population not being able to point to NYC on a map, let me just say that despite popular opinion in these parts, the world does _not_ actually revolve around NYC.
Successionist _is_ a word, but I don't believe it means what you think it means. It refers to one who believes fervently in succession rather than to the one who actually succeeds, who would be the successor. -

GASP! HERETIC! J'ACCUSE!
I'll make it easier. Go to Anytown, InAnyState, USA and ask three random people to point on a map where they live. Just the state is fine. -

I'll bet the vast majority could do that. For what it is worth, The National Geographic Roper Survey numbers from 1988 to 2006 would indicate that young Americans (18-24) knowledge of US geography has definitely increased. Contrary to popular belief. I wonder what it might look like comparing, say, the 70s, 60s or 50s (or earlier) to 2006, that would be interesting. My kids had to memorize all the states and capitals, and place them on a map. -

Subject: USA Customer Service problems
Dear World:
The United States of America, your quality supplier of ideals of
liberty and democracy, would like to apologize for its 2001-2008
service outage.
The technical fault that led to this eight-year service
interruption has been located, and the parts responsible for it
were replaced Tuesday night, November 4. Early tests of the newly-
installed equipment indicate that it is functioning correctly, and
we expect it to be fully functional by mid-January.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the outage, and we
look forward to resuming full service --- and hopefully even to
improving it in years to come.
Thank you for your patience and understanding,
The USA
Howdy, Stranger!
