Carnage in India; hotels under siege
Gunmen have targeted nine locations in south Mumbai, including two luxury hotels. A state spokesman put the death toll at 78. Gunmen are holding hostages at the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels, police said. One witness told reporters gunmen had tried to find people with U.S. or British passports.

Mumbai police spokesman Satish Katsa said gunmen have taken over the Taj Mahal Hotel and Hotel Oberoi, and were holding hostages on multiple floors.

Flames and smoke poured from the Taj early Thursday, and several explosions were heard at the building.

At the Oberoi the military reportedly entered the building and a large explosion was heard shortly afterwards.

Another hostage situation was unfolding at Cama Hospital, CNN's sister network in India, CNN-IBN reported.

Earlier, A.N. Roy, the police chief of Maharashtra state, said there were ongoing battles at the two five-star hotels.

Oh My God... I have not seen any of this on TV... I have been busy all day. How devastating (sp)..... My prayers are with all in India...

That is why Bob should refuse the trip to India.

Hi Janet ---I am taking a break...I am so tired...Made two pudding pies, mashed potatoes and I am too tired to make the stuffed mushrooms...I will just finish chopping the garlic and parsley for them and make them in the morning....

I didn't cook a thing. Tomorrow I will do it all iin the am. I get up around 5

No one would help me with how much time it takes to cook a 19 lb turkey.

I'm back... Had to clean up my cooking mess. I even made a sauce with meatballs & sausages. I figured I was cooking already so I made them to freeze.... I can't stay on because I have to peel 10 lbs of potatoes before I collapse....

I hope your brother stays safe & does not go to India... It is so scarey...
