place accepts donations in CH?

Hi, i have a couple of bags of children's clothes and toys that i would like to donate. Does anybody know of a local organization that will take them? I know of a few places in other neighborhoods, but would prefer to support CH.

thanks,

  • there are bins to drop clothes at the Associated supermarket at Sullivan Pl and Nostrand and at Rogers and Empire.

I'll bet you could donate toys to one of the many daycare places:

  • This isn't in CH, but I was at the Cultural Center at Von King Park (Lafayette bet. Marcy & Thompkins) in Bed-Stuy on Saturday and they were doing a clothing exchange there. You may want to call 311 to get the Parks Department number and call them to see if they are still taking clothes donation.
  • Subject: Freecycle it!

Join the Brooklyn Freecycle - I can guarantee results!
I've donated so many things directly to the people who need the goods - diverting from landfills too!

  • Don't use any of the bins if your goal is to donate to the needy. See other  posts about illegal charity(not) bins.
