Knitting, Winding up Winter
Hello Yarnies,
Is It Too Warm To Knit?
I'd say yes. Let's summon Spring by packing the winter wool away. Get some sun on those pasty legs and join us for the last Knit In of the season, don't worry we'll start up again in the Fall. Bring your skeens down for the last Swift and Wind-up of the season on Sunday, April 16 from 5:30 until 8:00 PM.
Yarn Drive
Wanna unload some yarn? If you've had it for more than two years you MUST let it go. Bring your left-over yarn down to Freddy's on Sunday, April 16. That Yarn Guy will be collecting yarn and tools for Midwood and Clara Barton high schools. Sally Struthers might say:
Each year thousands of chidlren go yarnless in Brooklyn. If you could spare a skeen of yarn, a pair of needles or even stitch counter, your contributions could support a child's yarn addiction.
Knit at Prospect Perk: 183 Sterling Place (718) 398 2760
Every Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 9:30pm. A cozy little coffee shop near Grand Army Plaza. Have a Chai Tea and talk about Tai Chi.
Knit at Maha's: 69 sixth Avenue. (718) 789-0510
Every Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:30pm.
The Men's Forum? This group is guy-friendly. Stitch, bitch, nosh, talk about guy-ish things and try the home made chicken soup with zatar bread. Watch your language and welcome our youngest member, Remy (he has a curfew).
Knit In at Freddy's: 485 Dean Street (718) 622-7035
Sunday, April 16, 2006

5:30 - 8:30 The Knit In, last one of the season: Stitch, bitch, unwind. Swift and ball winder are always available. See how trivial you really are, stick around for the Pub Quiz at 9:00.
Thursday, April 13, get jiggy with DIVAS ON TAP at Freddy's Bar just around the corner from Maha's. Opera and beer? They might do Bohemian Rhapsody yet.

I have plenty of yarn for the yarn drive. I'll be out of town but I'll leave you a bag beforehand. My stash is way too much not to share with the needy, yarn-starved children.

Thanks KW, when a little bell rings, a high school kid gets free things.
Cheers,
That Yarn Guy
