    Could be. Or Bay Ridge?
  • brooklyn college area? or windsor terrace surroundings??
  • pompei wrote: brooklyn college area?
Yeah, that's a good guess too. Like the fancy part of Midwood by Bedford Ave.
  • so you guys brought this place metulj?
  • Could be anywhere in Brooklyn. I've seen houses like these in the Slope, PH, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, etc...I'm going to say around Ocean Avenue between Foster and Ave K.
  • Hastings on Hudson?
  • well, if it follows the usual and anticipated migratory patterns of yups/breeders - it's Maplewood, New Jersey
  • Ditmas Park? Congrats!
  • Fourth and Gill? (ask Metulj about this obscure reference)

Seriously, I'm guessing Ditmas Park, Midwood, Flatbush or Prospect Park South.

    Soon to be named DiMiFlaProPa.
  • i'm thinking windsor terrace, kinda like 2 blocks above terrace bagels on PPW

on that block in front of the school?

by the F train 15th street stop?

    am i wrong or what?

I did live on Eleanor St in Knoxstantinople for about 4 months. That was my only stint in Fourth and Gill while I lived there. The place was a dump. I moved up Central to Lincoln Park and never looked back.* Nothing like getting a 3000 sq ft Craftsman for $450 a month. Damn. Why'd we leave?

    Still, you're cold, Dave. Cold.

Also, Matt Edens gives it his Good Shingle-Sided Victorian Seal of Approval.

*Let's let that serve as a hint...
  • A hint? Maybe it's a directional hint. Lincoln Park is north of Fourth & Gill, probably northwest to be precise.

    Bushwick? Bed-Stuy?

    Am I getting warmer?
  • Myrtle Avenue? Atlantic Ave? How about Ridgewood/Cypress Hills?
  • kensington or ditmas
  • I'm also thinking Ditmas. Doesn't looks like anywhere in Philly to me.

my Philly comment was just a joke, you know, since Philly is the new Brooklyn, etc.

Philly is so not the new Brooklyn.
  • Philly is so not the new Brooklyn.

I was just in Philly this week and must concur.

I met a friend in the "South Street/Queen Village" area on my way back to town. It was the commercialization of "counter culture" at it's finest. Kind of like an even more disneyized version of the East Village or Haight Ashbury. There were more Che Guevara t-shirts and Gertrude Stein coozies than you could shake a "stick it to the man" stick at.

The revolution will not be refunded.

The revolution will not be exchanged for in store credit without a receipt.

Eh. Who am I to judge? It was probably a cool place if you knew where to look. I didn't have time to get to know the place. Besides, I'm just another goddam yuppie ruining Brooklyn with my desire to live here.
  • hmm...this house also remotely looks like those on staten island.

Im thinking SI also :) Where ever it is, I wish you much love and happiness in your new home
  • Another hint: 22 minutes to midtown.
  • You moved to The Bronx? Do they have these in Inwood? Whitestone, Queens, perhaps?
  • I sort of recall seeing homes like this in New Jersey. West New York to be specific. Would the house be in that area?

i thought philly was the "6th borough" and providence was the "new brooklyn", no?
  • come on... tell us how you live in ditmas.
  • I dunno. Hoboken or somewheres in Jersey maybe?
  • DEATH BEFORE QUEENS!!!!!

    Lots of warm, warmer though.

C'mon, Dope. The "Lincoln Park" hint is a Google Local away!

Also, did you get an invite to our party?
