  • Hey, Carnie, why don't you just add some relevant information to the discussion? Appropos the historic evolution of names for neighborhoods in Crown Heights. That seems to the focus of this thread.
  • thanks for that interesting article, capt. planet.
But other areas, such as that around Brower Park, are very unlike the areas around Ralph Avenue or Rochester Avenue for that matter.
Which is why different n'hood names emerge, to help recognize that distinction. Brower Park vicinity has a distinctly better housing stock than say Weeksville or Ocean Hill-Brownsville. This reality is worth recognition.
as i live in this area, i can confirm this.

It was the focus of the thread, but you seem to keep wanting to make it about me.

Dude- you know I love you. BUT, we all know that all one has to do to get you deeply 'involved' in a conversation, is to use the words "border wars." You're just passionate about it- don't deny.

Again, I am perfectly happy to discuss neighborhood borders, but every time it comes up, it seems like Jack and Greg would rather have a meta-discussion about my interest in the topic than a discussion of the topic itself.
  • 35 years on Park and NEVER heard anyone refer to it as anyone's border. The only border issue was whether it was Fulton of Atlantic. Most people went with Fulton.

Any of these new borders issues come from people scamming for real estate money and those gullible ones that got caught out there.
