My husband, my son and I spent the day with mom.....boy was she out there yesterday......nothing she says makes any sense any more.....very sad day......

Hi Sue, I take Lipitor & my cholesterol is great! Sure I remember Loft's Daniels and the chain bakeries like Ebingers, Larsens & Cushman's. The bakery we went to was Levines on 5th Ave next to Michaels Furniture. It later became Laifers due to a death & marriage. Mrs Levine thought I was cute and used to give me the crumbs from the crumb bun tray. Sometimes on Sunday instead of the Messing cake for dessert we would go to Whelan's Drug store for ice cream comes. We did not have steak very often but on Sunday it was Roast Beef or Ham or Pork etc:. My Mother made the best home made Gravy in the world.That would go on the mashed potatoes, meat and if it was a veggie I did not care for it went on that too.
