i get it "imported" (ie have my brother/family/friends bring some whenever they drive up to my apt) but it's awesome to know it's at pathmark!

stop eeeet! I'm all squoooshy inside now..... :drunken: -
Awesome. My ex, Jersey born and raised, is obsessed with the stuff. I never knew what it was either. I think it's like canadian bacon for canadian hating americans. Tee.

Here's some more (I get into researching things sometimes):
"You can buy pork roll at the Shop Rite in Brooklyn at 1080 McDonald Ave. They might sell it at the Foodtown on McDonald and Albemarle Road too." -
mmm, pork roll and cheese on a kaiser roll. add to the menu spam (thinly sliced and slightly charred) and eggs, and tosino (sp?) - which for all the non-ricans out there is nothing more than pork fatback fried in a pan. it had the crispy pig skin side and the soft chewy fat side. so good.
watch, in the next 6 months, pork roll will appear in the eateries of cool kats and will be sold for $12.75 a sandwich. -
Subject: Taylor ham
Forget the Taylor Ham (that's only the brand name anyway.)
Go to ShopRite and get ShopRite Tangy Pork roll!! Ohhh yeahhh. Much better. My son freezes 6 rolls and takes them in a cooler back to college in Chicago and the friends go NUTS when he cooks it for them.
It's got to be well done with an egg and cheese on a roll or just alone.
It'll clog your hearts in a heartbeat (excuse the pun.) But it's to die for!!! -
Thanks...another unhealthy food I never heard of that I have to try.
-
Eagle Provisions on Fifth Avenue and 18th Street has it.

All right. Sending her to Eagle Provisions to check as that's right near her. Will report back.

Next time at Eagle I'm adding this to my cart along with their dried spaetzle...
-
"Pork Roll" -- that just sounds nasty.

Oooh, has anybody tried their dried spaetzle? is it good? I love me some spaetzle. Is it just plain or do they have other varieties (like cheese)?
