Judy, There's never a "good" time. I kept after my sister for yrs. to quit smoking and she would laugh at me but now she's free of the cigs, she can breathe better now.
Anna, How is your son feeling? Hope all is well.
My favorite band back in the 70's was "Blood, Sweat and Tears', they blew me away with their horn section, very powerful, saw them at the university upstate. Sly and the Family Stone was awesome too.

Concerts!!!! Victor Borge in the Melody Tent on Cape Cod, Robert Merrill at his own Radio Show same for Carmen Cavallero. Guy Lombardo in the Roosevelt Hotel, Vincent Lopez in Taft Hotel that he played in for years, Do not know if night clubs count but I saw Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis in the Copacabana, Saw what was supposed to be the Beach boys here in Florida. They had ONE original who was no more then a substitute. Make sure the groups are for real. That concert stunk! The best one I ever saw was Neil Diamond in the Robert Byrne Arena (Original Name) in the Meadowlands. He had the builiding moving!!! others are Mickey Finn, Peter Nero, Roberta Peters, Hal Linden, Glen Campbell and I danced on the stage once with Chubby Checker here in our Auditorium in Kings Point, Sun City Center FL. Yes we did the TWIST together.

Warren, twisting with THE Chubby Checker - what a great time! and Anthony,
first concert with Jefferson Airplane at the Fillmore East - what a trip!
I've been to lots of concerts from southern rock to punk rock but some of the best times were at the Schaefer (that's right, Schaefer beer - remember that! - is it still around?) Music Festival in Central Park in the early 70's. It was at the skating rink during the summer - lots of people, outdoors, surrounded by the city skyline and tickets were something like $2.00! You wouldn't believe who played there... everyone from Ray Charles and Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin, Sha Na Na and the Supremes to Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, Led Zepplin and the Who. Maryann, I even think Blood Sweat and Tears played there. Suzie and Terry, not so sure about Jay and the Americans or Crosby Stills Nash and Young. Patsy, I don't think there were any tenors at the Schaefer festivals but didn't Pavorotti (sp?) give an outdoor concert in Central Park? Anyone else ever been to the Schaefer Music Festivals? -
