  • My christmas memory warren was....and is..
    Fifth avenue with all the chrstmas trees and the smell of them.
    whe i smell a christmas tree I can close my eys and be alittle girl on 5th avenue walking in the snow with my Mom and all the 5th avenue lights on.
    GERMAINS MY BIGGEST MEMORY......(bettter than macys)

    Pretty day - as they say it's the quiet before the storm. Tomorrow's supposed to be another wash-out. Rain all day - close to 3". I better get my boat ready...

    Terry - Al's grandmother's name was Connie (I think) but Connie Ascione wasn't related to them.

    Just a quick type-by - have tons of work to do today.

    Yes Connie Scolomiglio(spell) was his grandma and Chick from the candy store was his uncle.

    Not too long ago someone posted or sent me a photo o Connie Ascione and it was there Aunt and godmother and i thought it was Al......Someone on this blog last year sent me the photo and I can't remember who (senior moment)

    If u see Ross remind him about the raccoons cause u have to stay on his back. I know he said he was on vacation and he was going to do it last wek but i am sue he did not....I emailed his sister also..

    Another great memory....going to Felix's on Sundays with
    my mom and sisters....I guess we would go there alot in the
    summer, we would take the bus and I always remember
    hearing Jimmy Roselli music playing in the restaurant, to
    this day whenever I hear that music I think of Felix's....
    .I also remember it used to be so cold in there in the summer
    and then we would walk outside and the heat would hit you...
    (but back then the heat felt sooo good! LOL) and then
    we would either shop a while or take the bus back home....
    great memories....

    hi judy, do u live in jackson, i love solo restaurant there also. can't believe u work right across the street from peking pavillion. love the food. we also used to go to felix's restaurant, i always thought connie was so pretty, like an actress. i remember me franny and terry used to go in a buy garlic bread to go and eat in a doorway on 5th ave. those were the days. i am in manalapan for almost 3 years already, my son is in freehold.....talk to u again, if anyone talks to suzie please give her my love......

    Still dealing with a bashing headache!!!! UGH

    All this rain we're getting tomorrow and I have to take Kati to the city for a post op with the Orthopedic Surgeon and some x-rays. I'm anxious to see them compare the x-rays from before.

    I was dying for chicken soup so I made it tonight and i'm not even hungry.....lol besides it's so hot and humid I don't think I could eat if anyway.

  • Hi everyone-thanks MaryAnn for your prayers...Jessica is fine...no signs of polyps or cancer...Thank you all for your prayers....loved the memories of 5th Avenue-remember going to Germain's every Thursday night-shopping with my aunt & uncle..Christmas time was great in Brooklyn..it's true-there's no place like Brooklyn at holiday time....it's totally different when you live somewhere else...Debbie-hope you feel better and Kati has a clean bill of health...my SIL & daughter just left with Justin...they came over & put up all my pictures & paintings in the apt.-it's really starting to feel like home..getting ready for Justin's party on Saturday..Tina's having over 40 people there! well-I've been up since 5 AM-had to be at the hospital with Jessica early-and have to get up at 5 AM tomorrow for work-so I'll say goodnight...talk to u soon.............

    Chubby, connie and Marie loved them all..

    Missed it again and I will be on the road next week and will miss it. i am cheering Fredo on from S.I.. My neighbor years ago on bay 10th street..

    Went to the Rays game tonight for free. Longoria donated 20 thousand tickets and we got in for free... thank /god the food is so expensive...lol

    OMG i forgot that.. We also ate chips and onion dip and Franny ate pigs feet right out of the jar....SO MANY MEMORIES WITH MY MIMI AND PEOPLES...
