So, how'd the VOTING go?

I had absolutely no problem with the new system at PS 315/152. The staff seemed well-trained and eager to help.

In the state I lived before, Virginia, we had completely electronic terminals. It was like voting at an ATM, but I didn't like it much. If the election is questioned or machine tampering is ever discovered there is no paper ballots available to do a hand recount. I much prefer the new system here where there is at least the possibility of going back and counting the physical ballots if necessary. However, for privacy reasons I would prefer that our new system allow us to mark and feed the ballot in one spot as opposed to this walking around with our marked ballot in a "privacy folder" business.

I voted in CG on Hoyt st and there weren't really any problems. The only thing that took a while was they have to fill out an index card and give it to you so that you can give it to the person at the scanners. Since I was there at 7:30am there was only two people ahead of me. Also, they did have those magnifying sheets at all the stations where you fill out your ballot.
