What a month for park slope foodies! And to top it all off: an honest to goodness Chinatown-style dumpling stand, complete with sesame pancake pork belly sandwiches. Coming soon to the old Taqueria Reis space, on Fifth between Fifth and Sixth.

Some might say, given the obscenely high commercial rental market in PS that:

"There is no way this will be like chinatown. With rent prices here, it's going to be a dollar a dumpling and they'll cut corners on the product to make ends meet."

Eton wanted to move to PS, I talked to them and there is a reason they went to PH.

But fingers crossed, because I Looooooooove dumplings....

Taqueria Reis had competition all over the place, including Rachel's across the the street. A dumpling place has no competition in the hood.

I hear all the best dog shit pie stores are opening in PH. Rents are just too damn high in PS for a halfway decent dog shit pie.
