Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

Hi All

Thanks for the asking about me I'm feeling better today. Still sore but I'm sure that will take a few days. Boy the hospital can't wait to throw you the hell out of there!!! Half hour out of surgery and they were looking to send me home OMG.

I'm sure as hell not doing any housework!!!! Not even cooking...my sister Gina sent me a tray of lasagna and tonight it's chinese...although I don't have much of an appetite.

Ok thanks again...I'll check in tomorrow.

thats what happened) but, it could if your not careful

Good Morning Cuz and All,

Bank, Food Shopping, dropped off some grad balloons to my sister for the boys. Michael graduated 8th grade and Mario 5th grade...Where has the time gone. Family get together for the boys today. Love these gatherings. Get to see the old Aunts and Uncles lol.

Happy Fourth to all my Blog Buddies! It's 85 here in Az and expected to reach 105 ! it's not even a dry heat...we had a thunder boomer last night with some rain. Haven't had rain in months. Herb finally got the dog to go out but just as they were coming in the loudest thunder boomer of all time propelled Frankie to jump on my lap..it's okay he's not a big hound just 16 pounds of Bichon Frise!

SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE READ THE PAPERS OR WATCHED IT ON THE

NEWS LAST NIGHT..THE FAMILY FROM S.I. THAT LOST 3 PEOPLE

(2 BROTHERS) IN A CRASH.. ON THE WAY BACK FROM ATLANTIC CITY. THE 18 YR OLD SON, ELIAS, WAS

A FRIEND OF TONIANN'S..SHE JUST HAD LUNCH W/HIM & A FEW

OTHER KIDS LAST WEEK WHEN THEY PICKED UP THEIR REPORT CARDS.

SHE WISHED HIM LUCK, B/C HE WAS GOING INTO HIS 1ST YEAR OF COLLEGE. THIS IS A VERY TRAGICE STORY. HE, ALONG W/HIS 13 YR OLD BROTHER & A FRIEND OF THEIRS DIED IN THIS CRASH.

THE FAMILY WILL NEED LOTS OF PRAYERS [-oB PLEASE KEEP

THEM IN MIND & IN YOUR PRAYERS... [-oB [-oB

Well another 4th of July has come & gone. We did not get to see any fireworks again. They did have them across town for the first time but we could not see them from our block. Carol is not comfortable going to places where you have to stand (or sit) for long periods of time outside. So I just bite my tongue a little and do without the fun. Years ago when we went to Disney regularly we use to see fireworks every night there. Epcot has a fantastic show with fireworks, lasers etc:. We do not go there anymore either. Guess I will have to become a hermit!!!

Debbie, glad you are improving daily.

Terry, your grandchildren are ALMOST as good looking as mine. You know that each of us thinks ours are the most beautiful & handsome... :flower:
