Hi Everyone-well the shower has come & gone already...LOL..we had a great time..about 35 people came & Steve's aunt did all the cooking..was going to stay home tomorrow & relax but she invited Tina, Scott, Justin, Jessica & Steve(and me) over for dinner tomorrow..it should be fun...Terry-have a great vacation...to everyone else-Happy Easter and will talk to u soon...bye

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Ours went like this:

Ate hard boiled eggs we colored the night before. (yes we still color about a half dozen but do not hide them. We would probably forget where we put them. Aging is sure fun.)Went to Church. Great music in the service with a large Choir and a five piece brass ensamble plus the organ. After Church we went to the Hospital to visit our neighbor. Then home and Carol made our Easter dinner which was delicious. Watched some baseball and then had a quiet evening at home. I did have a new shirt and tie on so we are still carrying on the Easter tradition of some new clothes. When I was a kid my Mother would take me to Belmont's on 5th Ave and buy me an Easter suit. (Mainly to wear to Church). If we could not find one in Belmont's we took the Trolley down to Fulton Street and went to A&S basement store. I liked Belmont's better because you got a free gift according to how much you spent. It could be a football, a baseball or something similar.

Beautiful day again. Terry came down the right time this time. :-k

Hello All,

Took Carol to USF today. We got TWO Doctors to examine her and her records. The Doctor in charge is changing her diet and some of her Meds. He wants to see what the diet change will do and then she has a prescript (a very expensive one) and wants to see what effect they have on her attacks. We do not have to go back up there. He will talk to her on the phone about what is going on. She can eat most things that are supposed to be bad for you but not healthy things. No Veggies, no fruit, no whole wheat. He wants her to eat Meat and fish, white potatoes, olive oil & white bread & rolls. We will see how it works out. :P

Patsy, Belmonts was mostly Men & Boys clothes, so unless you were dressing any males in your house, you probably would not go there. It was on the West side of 5th Ave between 9th & 10th or 10th & 11th street.

Terry, there will be a slight charge for the perfect weather I arranged for you this trip!!!! 8)

Hey Patsy...your JoebrooXXX really brought it...he still has game...we did a little extra long version of let it rain and he smoked it!!!Great to play with him again....only been 38 years in between sets..lol... Love to all my neighborhood family!

Patsy, we are both doing pretty well. We are very anxious to see if this new Doctor's plan will work. Next week I have two appointments on Monday. One with My family Doctor in the AM and then the Radiation Oncologist in the afternoon. Later next week I have an appointment with my Cardiologist. Might as well call next week "Warren's Doctors week".

Terry, there were several stores, including Belmonts, that had a double window foyer and some of them had a window in the middle. Michael's & Co Furniture had a large lobby with the window in the middle. We used to drive the mgr crazy by roller skating in between the windows. Way back there was another furniture store on 5th Ave & 12th Street that had the same setup. We drove them crazy with the roller skates also.

Question for all: When you went roller skating, where did you keep your skate key so you would not lose it????? :?:

I thought that is where we kept our skate key...

We were always skating or riding bikes, thats why we were always so skinny!!! LOL

Did anyone ever go to St Rocco's roller skating on Thursday afternoons??? I can still hear the music they played..what fun that was, couldn't wait to get home from school to go skating..
