  • Answer being the Sex Pistols. I think the shop at that time was "SEX".

Perhaps Mr. Keys can back me up on this if he's up this early.

Edit: Uh, hmmm. Music trivia? I dunno. Name every Ramone (by their "Ramone" name) that was ever in the band. Once or twice off appearences in concerts not necessary, just those who appeared on albums.
  • Yeah! Drano's here!

You down for sum pig roast and happy hour madness? Hopefully the weather is nicer than today :-(
  • I love vivienne westwood. if I were skinny, all I'd wear would be her stuff and anna sui. and maybe lots of betsey johnson. I really am female.

    pig roast would rule, carny!
  • [quote="pitu"]
What band came together at Vivienne Westwood's Chelsea clothing shop? Bonus: Name the shop.
    quote]

Drano's correct......I'll give a bonus point to the person who can name the line designed by Vivienne and Malcolm's son.....

Edit: forgot to predict.....I've been away......

    Alafairnadia?
  • pitu, that was WAY too easy. Had someone other than you asked me that I would have been offended.

Drano, you were right on the money with the Pistols/Sex answer. As for The Ramones: Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, Tommy, Marky, Richie, CJ. Am I missing anyone?

Alfy, you are indeed female. And I raise a toast of "Vitamin J" to that.
  • All of you BANNED for not guessing who's next!

Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, Tommy are the original Ramones. Marky, CJ, and Richie were all in the band for varying amounts of time.
Now you made me need to listen to "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker."

    What do I win, Drano?
  • By mentioning Alfy last I WAS implying/guessing she'd be next!
    Right, shish?
  • Sorry, MK. We cross posted. I was still trying to think of Richie when you slipped your message in.

    Sweet tea next.
  • It's SweetMex! Not T!

Aww, man, MK, I'm glad the Southpaw rec. night fell through. I don't know how I did it, but I managed to pinch a nerve or somthing in my back. I'm in so much pain, I can barely lean over.

Anyone have home remedies for me? Hot toddy, Carny?
  • Motrin and warm compresses is about the best you can do without a prescription, but is pretty effective in most cases. If that doesn't do it, narcotics and muscle relaxers are the next step. Or you could try accupuncture. Western medicine is not so great at dealing with back pain.

Needless to say (I hope), if you have weakness or numbness in the legs or incontinence, you should go to an Emergency Department immediately.
  • Oh, and Drano next.
  • Yup. Ramones answers were correct, BTW. Richie sometimes gives trouble.

What's this about a pig and happy hour now?

Maybe Pitu can fill me in.
  • Yes, it's crappy haiku time:

    Sorry, Mamacita.
    Dr. Carny speaks wisely.
    Drano knows his Ramones.
  • My favorite haiku:

    Just enough of rain
To bring the smell of silk
    From umbrellas

    -Richard Wright

    What do you think, MK?
  • It's unlike mine: in other words, not crappy.
    Actually, quite beautiful.
    What do you think, pitu?
  • I think C just classied up the joint!
Who's CJ? It's was the early/mid 80s the last time I saw the Ramones on a regular basis...

Don't you have to start easy with the trivia, MK?
    Here's another you're both going to know . . .
Name the familial connection between "Typical Girls" and "This Is Not A Love Song"
    (MK next)
  • Don't know "Typical Girls". (And I'm not going to cheat and google...)
    A hint?
    How's your back, Mama?
  • The hint: Those are song titles, not bands. That's the mildly cryptic part of the question.
    Right Mama?

    Next trivia question:
What member of reggae royalty appears on Fergie's new album?
(and guess the followup question that links with the answer)

[EDIT: playing note: if you don't know the answer, make up a new question or ignore the game altogether. Eyes on the 5000 prize!
Keys talked about doing a music trivia night awhile back, which is why I'm going on this tangent here...
He has not revealed if this has anything to do with a pig on a spit or a HH]
  • Finally HOME!!!!!
damn, my back is happy to get off work early. (didn't really have sick time to take the whole day off.)

Pobre mamacita, estoy muy triste y dolorosa.....

However, Hot Rye-Wiskey Toddy and hot compress is making it all bettah...

Someone inform Drano of the pig roast, Carny?
  • pitu wrote: The hint: Those are song titles, not bands. That's the mildly cryptic part of the question.
A hint would be something I didn't already know.

Huh? What pig? That was Mamacita. Do you want to take this one, WF?

well, this could be a keeper then . . .
I'm tempted to roll out that "knowing what is known" stuff popularized by Rummy, but instead I'll ask you if you know who did those songs that you know about. If you have *that*, answer the question!
or make up a new question and let someone with superior trivial information step in.
Are you suggesting that person is WhyFi?
    WhyFi!
  • PiL and... I can't figure out the other one.
OK here goes: Who has won the most Grammys ever? (And no, it's not Quincy Jones. There's your hint.)
    Got this one, sweet tea?
  • sure don't. but i do know which war had the first submarine attack. do you, whyfi?
  • first submarine attack... is it WWI?
just started a new job so haven't been able to post lately
as far as most grammys ever... is that Michael Jackson MK?
  • WW2 "U-boats" right?
No, Q. Here's another hint: he's dead. (The most Grammys winner, that is.)
    I bet Alfy knows.
  • james brown?

and I suck at trivia questions. sorry.

    carnivore next.
  • she might. and maybe she knows the answer to my question, too. i will grant you that the sub attack in question was not a successful one.

    alfy?
  • actually, me again. maybe frank sinatra? that absurd miss. kitten song just popped into my head.

okay, carnivore, for reals - you're next.
  • sorry sweet tea - I'm not a history buff at all.

    carnivore!
  • Nope. But Henry Mancini is the answer to the Grammy question (20).
Was I far from the sub answer, sweet tea?
