Peaks and valleys, my friend. Peaks and valleys.

Going to all 3 of them. Should be fun.
Not going to get into an argument before the end of October.
Theres only one team winning the Series, all other teams are losers. -
How is it that a team's lone World Series win in almost a century fuels its fans' cockiness and trash talk? You would think they'd been unstoppable, winning the division every year since or something. Jeez.

Had they been in almost any other division and not in the same division of the team owned by the man who has ruined baseball, they would have won many divisions. -
I'm sorry, would you like a Kleenex?

9.5 baby. Getting there! -
Here's my prediction of what the rotation will look like by the all-star break:

-
Popeye on spinach will be fine, Herman Munster has a killer arm, Homer was the only player on the Isotopes next to top tier big leaguers like Griffey Jr., Potatohead will be fine if he doesnt ge hit by a comebacker.
I see Clemens as the weakest link in this rotation. -
Oh and one more thing Oiseau.
This obsession is exactly the reason why we cant take Red-Sox fans for full.
You guys care so much about beating the Yankees that everything else falls behind.
All we care about is winng the world series.
If the Yankees were 9.5 games up by now, we wouldnt spend a minute of though on the sox on nights we dont play them.
Yet you count every game every win, every loss for the Yankees. Enjoy the ride, theres no guarantee it will last. -
Amen, Brother K.
-
You hope it doesn't. 12.5 games by Monday!

I'll tell you one thing, Herman Munster will walk through a wall for you.
I see Clemens as the weakest link in this rotation. -
No 12.5 today! Wang is kicking ass and the bats have erupted!
-
And I was there to witness it! My first Yanks vs Red Sox game! Wang pulled it together; A-Rod and the G man rocked it. A good night indeed. Cheers, LeeHo and Mr. K!

every once in a while you have to get something for $200 million.
-
I'm on my way up there tonight and again on Saturday for the Angels. I have to admit that the May schedule is a pretty tough one.
Anyway, hopefully by Wednesday, 11 pm, we'll be at 7.5 behind the Dead Sox.
MIKEYKEYS, Sox/Yanks games are pretty fucking amazing huh? The place is soooooo loud and people are psyched when we win. Did you see flying peanuts? Or did you propel some through the air at sad Sox fans' beers?
Not that I would ever do such a thing.......... -
I will throw anything that I get hit with back Yankee fans.
-
Yeah, LH it's pretty electrifying out there. And no, I didn't throw anything but some fights did erupt around each of the respective poles.
Hey, it does feel good, but one day at a time is the deal. Whether you spend $20 million or $200 million, it's still one day/game at a time. -

Here's how it usually goes: Loud-mouth fat-assed low-life Yankee fans start yelling derogatory remarks at well-behaved Red Sox fans while the Yankee Stadium security guards stand around oblivious to it all.
Then Loud-mouth fat-assed low-life Yankee fans then start throwing peanuts, souvenirs, hot dogs, etc. at well-behaved Red Sox fans while the Yankee Stadium security guards stand around oblivious to it all.
Eventually, Loud-mouth fat-assed low-life Yankee fans hit a well-behaved Red Sox fans with a half-full beer or soda and the Red Sox fan stands up and yells at at the crowd. Meanwhile the Yankee Stadium security guards swarm upon the Red Sox fan and escort him from the stadium. -
Exactly and appropriately so.
Fenway is way worse. You can't even get into a bar if you're wearing a Yankee cap. Moreso, as MKeys said above, there are public warnings at universities against wearing Yankee gear in fear of retaliation. -
The police at last nights game said there were three times as many cops as there were at Monday's game.
I'd say there was only five fights I could see from my nose-bleed seats. From friends who were there on Monday they said there was more fights Monday then there were base hits. -
Heh. Reminds me of a fight I saw at the old Philly Spectrum...a couple of Flyers fans were dumping beer on this guy in a Bruins jersey and generally making his life miserable. He decided to do something about it and got dog-piled and pummelled for his trouble; thankfully, security responded swiftly and threw that G.D. Boston troublemaker out of the building.
-
I cant understand all this animosity and flat out hatred. This isnt european soccer.....
I go to the games to keep score, talk baseball with the guys who are close, guzzle a couple of cold ones and enjoy our pasttime.
There is nothing more American than a summer evening baseball game.
This rivalry crap has been taken way to far by the media and the fans.
Sure I want my team to win, but if they dont i dont fall into a depression or feel the need to punch someone in the face for it. -
I agree. I wouldn't wear my Red Sox hat to the restroom though past the 7th inning.
And it's freakin' May, not September. People need to chill out. -
Regardless of what part of the season we may be in, knuckleheads on both sides have got to get a grip. WTF?
-
You know, they frisk you when you enter the ballpark. Anything you bring in has to be in a clear plastic bag. Of course, women can bring anything they want in to the stadium as long as it's in a purse/pocketbook, but if you are a guy with a small bag filled with your work papers, you can't bring that in (a bit sexist?)
I'd like to see them give people a sobriety test before going in if they smelled of alcohol. I bet a lot of these fights involve people who have been drinking beforehand. -
Clemens almost ready for AA ball.
A-Rod, frustrated with the lack of basking weather, has graduated from glove-slapping to clumsy nudging.
Giambi, looking to put something - anything - in himself that can't be tested for gets addicted to cough syrup and actually speeds up on the basepaths. -

How's this for clutch: tie game, 2 outs, top of the 9th @ Fenway, 0-2 and...Slay-Rod!
The Yankees took 2 out of 3 from Boston, the team with the best numbers in the AL, just like at the Stadium 2 weeks ago. Let's hope it's the start of good things to come.
A damn shame about Doug M.
As for Abreu, at the very least, he needs to be benched for a couple of games and see if that lights a spark under him.
Howdy, Stranger!
