    Haha, which brings me to the question of prison food as a detterent to crime (since prison rape is a fallacy and thus presumably ineffective as a deterrent, lol). What sort of grub are they serving in the slammer nowadays? Anyone know?

    I come from a immigrant family. both my parents work 7 days a week 15 to 18 hrs a day.

    most of my friends families are the same thing. none of them turn out bad.

    Whenever a post gets moved/deleted/redacted etc. the moderator sends a private message to the poster letting them know what happened to their post. Since you have to be registered in order for us to be able to pm, you didn't get such a message.

    Bottom line, your post has been moved offline. If the site administrator determines its okay, it will come back. If not, it won't.

    My post simply stated that workong 18 hrs. a day was the equivalent of slavery, and that needed to be censored? Do you censor other historical accounts on this blog; and could you post your criterea for censoring?

    My post was deleted and I am not registered so I don't have the reason why; I will post it on a few other blogs to get feedback so others can determine the difference between "18 hours a day 7 days aweek" and a "slave" and why one should be censored and the other not. Your sensitivity seems to be towards the word slave and perhaps like myself you had great grandparents who suffered like mine did and it the wounds are still fresh, that I could understand. FYI my Grand Dad was born in 1890 and died in 1980, he worked on building the Panama Canal. 8)

    My mother unfortunately worked 15 hours a day at many different jobs while raising three children and getting her degree in English at NYU; She too was an immigrant.

    Actually, guru, I'm reporting him myself if you'd rather not register.

    And I hope that also answers your earlier question to me.

    But I'd also gently suggest taking a deep breath sometimes before responding to folks, because jerks are going to be jerks, and I've noticed that you sometimes try to deal with them by arguing with them -- that never works.

    If its bad parenting that make a kid go bad, what accounts for the countless drunks I see staggering along dekalb and or myrtle avenues every Friday, Saturday and some Sundays? and the others that are disoriented by substances unknown?

    These aren't "minorities" either (be it : mexicans, blacks, puerto rican, oriental(no offense intented) or mullatoes)

    Somebody better start a freggin Alcoholics/Drugs Anonymous 'round here!
