Banned for being on a mud when you should be getting ready to leave.
-
Don't forget your sunscreen children.
And sensible shoes.
And clean underwear.
-Love Mamacita -
And DEET.
-
I'm sure I forgot something really obvious. Hmmmm...
But Jeez, this is a daytrip, not summer camp. -
Shoot, I don't know where my DEET bottle went!
Can someone please bring a bottle???
I'll be eaten alive otherwise [-o< -
I have one, don't worry. And since I'm usually the mosquito attracter you'll be fine.
-
oh no! it's raining pretty hard here now. i hope the rain didn't ruin our picnic crew's day. nuthin' says "depressing" like wet potato chips.
-
Not a drop while we were there. It got a little overcast late afternoon, otherwise gorgeous.
-
oooooooh so tasty sangria............
It was lovely to see you all! -
That was pretty sweet. Here are some highlights for those who didn't attend:
We had three cars, four people in each.
The mimosas didn't even make it to the mountain. There were a few...persons in my car who saw to that.
The hike was a little more challenging that I remembered, at least at the beginning. There was definitely some heavy breathing going on.
The same...persons...who killed the mimosas guarded the food and alcohol while everyone else hiked. I think there was less of each upon returning. However, they did make some sweet sangria.
We could see the picnic area from the top so we called down and asked Mamacita to come out from under the trees and jump around. We could see her, which was pretty cool. Then we asked to to jump around some more.
Food and drink brought by all was excellent. Next time we're bringing meat because you can cook in the picnic area. -
i'm terribly envious. i was working the fair in mccarren pool and while it was excellent, and will be tomorrow, there was a downpour situation. and no mimosas
-
i'm so glad y'all had a good time. thank goodness the rain didn't touch you! i'd be more envious, but at the moment i'm enjoying the benefits of 7 bottles of wine split with six people, and a dinner party in which we had lots of tasty appy's, and yours truly baked a sour cherry pie with fruit from the backyard. mmm mmm good. (but thank my lucky stars for spell-check)

I saw the Yanks kick the Mets ass! Wooooooohooooo! Thought about you guys when the rain poured and hoped you all had shelter. BTW, I'm also gonna be working the fair at McCarren tomorrow with a friend. What am I doing up?
Fun, yeah?
Howdy, Stranger!
