  • what's the trolley tour of? and does it cost?
  • Trolley tour is free, but you have to RSVP asap 718.768.7300 (not sure if there's much space left). It's a tour of the cemetery's Revolutionary War related "permanent residents" as well as a look at the areas of the cemetery that were actually in the middle of the battle, back on August 28, 1776...

1:30 P.M.: United States Merchant Marine Academy’s Annual Battle of Brooklyn Parade
2:00 P.M.: Battle of Brooklyn Commemorative Ceremony on Battle Hill

Are the most dramatic, with the marching band, reinactors and cannon's being shot. Though it's a low-key event....lots of folks, though. We'll be there! :)

It's also just a cool excuse to explore the cemetery if you haven't been there before or only once or twice.
  • The re-enactors usually wind their way around the park and head down 3rd Street to the Old Stone House for a dramatic finale. Lots of smoke and noise and old uniforms - it's really cool, actually.
