They own the building, we are told, and they are the ones that will be renting the space. As we noted yesterday, the adjacent Associated supermarket is likely to take over both the Beso space and the coffee shop next door, according to our source. Our source notes that the Beso owners are looking into opening another eatery, perhaps a Mexican restaurant in Prospect Heights.
You know, I never wanted to even check out that restaurant because the thought of eating right in front of the bus stop, with all it's noise/smog/traffic, just never seemed appealing. The view and smells turned me off.
It's interesting that Associated will take over the block. I feel bad for the little coffee shop. Is that the one with the donuts in the window? If so, I liked that place! It was cheap and old school. -
i hope somehow that coffee shop sign can be saved!
it's amazing!! -
I hope you're wrong about the coffee shop - that place rocks.
As for Beso, they can go to hell in a handbasket. -
that's too bad about the donut/coffee shop.
I think I'll get me a coffee and donut right now to show support -
You'd better hurry - it closes round three!

Good. Beso would not serve friends and me coffee and snacks at 3 PM on a Sunday.
Tea Lounge, Ozzies, and Starbucks were delighted to meet our requests and are still standing. -
This is very sad news to me. I was only there once, but found their Yuca hash browns to die for.

Subject: Too bad
I was also wondering what happened there...it was very crowded branch place, but not that much for dinner. I had dinner and branch one time each, the flat corn bread with cheese inside was so good! -

I am sure you understand that restaurants have minimums&you went and spent your money at Ozzies? A lower price point. Beso was there for 8years...A nice run I would say. GET a LIFE!

This is the space where I might be thanking you for a kind an insightful post. Instead, I would advise you to check the board's rules, and consider what your purpose here is. There are better ways to get your point across. -
kinderkidd1,
Sounds like you're the one who needs to get a life and some social skills.
I don't advise you to read the rules, I advise you to visit another website.
You have nothing to offer here, probably not much in your offline life either. -
MOD NOTE TO KINDERKIDD1: You have been warned via PM and in multiple Mod Notes in other threads. Pay attention. If you don't, your account will be taken away from you. Simple as that. Read the rules, read your PMs, and stop trying to pick a fight with everyone.

You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but in polite society we refrain from picking our friend's nose.
