Is it park slope?
Hey, my office mate is moving to park slope. Or, at least close. It's around 15th street on 7th. Is that Park Slope still? I think it is crossing 15th street but I am not sure.
What else would it be? Windsor Terrace? Greenwood Heights or something?

If you ask a realtor, it is Park Slope. If you ask me, the proper answer would be South Slope.

The border of Park Slope sneaks further up...used to be third street, then 9th street, then Prospect Ave, now 23rd Street (really? no, come on, really?).
I do know that it's an awesome neighborhood, wherever it is. -

its Prospect Park West?
In the Mid-nineties when the realators took over park slope they divided it
by all these new names just to make it more fancy...in my opinion. -

I thought the official Park Slope perimeters were Flatbush to 16th from the park to 3rd ave.

south slope is not a separate nabe from park slope, Dave. guess the rich folks from the north end of the slope had to divide themselves from the working class folks from the south somehow! -
I would very much consider that park slope- my friend loves down there bt 15-16 on 7th and there's tons of stuff- places to eat, shop, groceries, wine shops etc... when he moved there I never hesitated to consider it park slope proper, even if it is "south slope." Are neighborhoods getting so myopic that they're 6 blocks now?

The Park Slope Historic District extends to the backyards of 15th Street, albeit in a tiny slice near PPW. Said historic district was designated in 1973, so I've gotta think that at least one part of 15th Street has been Park Slope for a long time.

You can find several different perimeters depending on where you look and how badly you want to be able to say that you live in "Park Slope", how badly you want to deny that you live there or how badly you want to sell an apartment in "Park Slope".

I have a coworker on 23rd who insists that he is in "Park Slope" even though I tell him it's Greenwood Heights which didn't exist when I lived here 20 years ago and when South Slope started on 9th Street.
I currently live on the Edge of both neighborhoods or in one or the other, I'm not sure. I don't care. I love it here. -

and on ppw 15th is bartel pritchard -

Sure the park can end on 15th Street, but the hill's slant flattens on 11th Street. If you walk to the park from 7th Avenue up 9th Street -- where I thought Park Slope ended -- you're still walking up a slope. If you walk up 11th Steet from 8th Avenue to the park, there is much less of an incline. Test it by stepping outside of your apartment and walking to the Park.
If you don't live on the slope of the park, you could be in Gowanus, Windsor Terrace, Sunset Park, or in Green-wood Cemetery.
