Kaleidescape (home movie server) recently won a case against the DVD CCA (Copy Control Association), so I don't know how the RIAA thinks that they have a leg to stand on, here...

I wonder how they would even manage to enforce that. I mean, if you NEVER go on a file sharing network, how would they even know that you have your own ripped collection on your computer (without say, invasive spyware)? Do they actually expect us to download dupes of everything we own from iTunes? A lot of stuff I have isn't even available on iTunes.

They might as well throw the book at me because I've got over 4000 tunes on my computer, all of which I own a CD copy of, thankoo.
