Honestly, its the Citibank ATM, not the 7-11 per-se. Slushies are cool, but the novelty of reliving childhood will wear off soon. The novelty of NOT paying $20 a month extra to get cash out will not wear off.

a fucking men. Last month I had $8 in atm fees from the atms themselves, AND another 8 or so from citibank.
I love how they're putting a bank of america across from the hospital when there's an atm station right off 9th st...and no citibank anything (until this) except all the way down near union. Lame

No, I prefer the normal lighting, and friendly, non-odiferous guys at "My Favorite Grocery" on the opposite corner.

Ironically, the things you mention that offend you are actually things that attract most people. The bright lights usually discourages crime, and many people enjoy the aroma of coffee. When people bring up excuses why they dislike 7-Elevens, they usually bring up things like teenagers loitering outside, excess litter, and the additional car traffic to the area. None of which apply here.

I'm not a big fan of artificial flavors either. However, you really can't escape it nowadays. Just about every chain (7-Eleven, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc.) sell them.

I'll have to check out the 5th Avenue 7-Eleven this weekend (I live in New Jersey). Most of the other 7-Elevens I frequent don't have that aroma you described. Unless maybe I'm just immune to it!

I'm in Crown Heights and haven't seen any here. The only bulletproof glass is on the outside window they use for after hours sales.

Also, there was a 7-11 across from Laguardia Community College in Queens for a while now. I guess it was just a matter of time before they decided to move in.
