Have they been quite this brazen in the past? Going through the park and on sidewalks is another level beyond just weaving through heavy traffic on Flatbush...
I rather suspect it is a few brazen rascals in the hood raising the stakes on the safety risks. I really liked the video of last years bike crushing.
  • The only thing that is ever going to change this is if a kid gets run over by one of those dirt bikers. Or a beloved elder. Then the electeds will get all in a huff and call for roundups of the bikes.
Just like what happened with J'ouvert... oh wait, NYPD action and resources didn't change a thing.
  • We had round up theater last summer. ...I think that ship has sailed.
  • Something will go badly someday, as I just saw 3 wheelies weaving down Park with several autos driving by and 2 youngsters on bikes trying to get out of the way. It was an anxious few moments for me to watch the unchoreographed ego fueled dance.
  • Just saw a squad of about 60-80 bikes zoom by in Flatbush. Traffic completely stopped to let them by. Unlawful but an impressive sight!
