All good points. I think that what most people here objected to about the OP was the grouping of two quite disparate events to create the appearance of a trend (whether this was intended or not). Either piece of information would clearly be welcome by itself, but they really have nothing to do with each other.
You're saying I shouldn't take two points, draw a straight line (R^2=1.0) and extrapolate to a trend? I was wondering why there was no crime last Friday night near the corner of Vanderbilt and Plaza St.

I believe a male dog was seen urinating on a lamp post, hence causing untold amounts of damage and expense to NYC taxpayers. Not a crime, but criminal.

wasn't that your special lady's dog and wasn't the victory garden of the house with the Easter Island mural ?

My lady friend's dog is a female. Don't try and frame an innocent dog! It's exactly this sort of attitude that contributes to the blind stereotyping of all dogs in this neighborhood. Just because a lamp post gets peed on once doesn't mean every dog goes around peeing on every lamp post. But I bet you prolly just sit up in your deluxe penthouse suite with your cats and think you're better than everyone anyway. I remember when this neighborhood was nothing but dogs, the only cats were the dead ones that we used to find between frozen crack vials in the winter. And now everyone's around walking their cats in double-wide cat walkers and complaining about the lack of good cheese in the neioghborhood.

Obviously, billc, you are content to sit back and watch our neighorhood be destroyed in 2554 by a crime meteor. YOUR A SPECIESIST!!!!11
  • you, sir, are the specious one.
  • I am not specious, most of my shirts are sized medium.
  • yes but many so called mediums are specious.
  • OMG THERE'S CRIME IN NYC WHEN DID THIS HAPPENNNNNNNNN
  • ... and scene.
  • Okay, first off, it REALLY sucks they were robbed.

However, this is the same cleaner that was leaking hazardous chemicals so my kids' ld school upstairs had to close, and the teachers had to go to the children's homes once a week for homeschooliing for the rest of that year .
The landlord took the cleaner's side, and totally screwed the kids.

    Fkk em!
  • You've got your facts wrong. The cleaner to which you are referring is actually Caree Cleaners, whereas Happy Cleaners is across the street on the east side of Vanderbilt Avenue.

But, hey, let's hope that Caree gets robbed, right? Then you can go on and do another post where you lament the robbery, only to turn around and insinuate that the victim deserved it.
