two out of the three for ping pong, air hockey and darts. two out of three games for each!!! weak-kneed and faint-of-heart need not apply... -

I don't claim to be any good at ping pong or darts. Add 8-Ball to the mix, and you're on! -

and i have no experience with 8 ball... we may need a 5th and deciding game... -

You ever see the guy who always wins the Nathan's hotdog eating contest?
Check out the IFOCE website (link above). -

You forget the world champion competitive hot dog eater...a 90lb japanese guy who floored dudes 300lbs and up. -
yeah, i have seen the guy (side note- damn he's ripped [envy, not lust]). from what i've read, smaller people DO tend to be more elastic... but i CAN eat... ask my wife.
-
whoa! just re-read that... unintentional humor...
-
Side, side note- did you see, a few years back, that some kids were drinking massive amounts of water in a short period of time to get high?!?! I can just imagine kids in a back yard, somewhere in suburbia, suckin' on a garden hose... no, not healthy.
Back on the original divergent track- nah, I really don't think that competitive eating works with the spirit of the other 4 events... we need another lazy-man “sportâ€ÂÂ... -

Yay bowling! I'm shit at that, but it's still fun.

Bowling?
Perfect! Although I think that this is going to be something settled over a couple of days, not a couple of hours... unless there's a facility around that can cover all of our needs... -

3 games of bowling is a day or evening in itself. I think the other stuff could probably all be one night at BB. -

So... next question- is this a one-on-one (you kill my father, prepare to die!) grudge match? Or do we include all takers for the First Annual Lazy Person Pentathlon?! -

Agreed. Well, one night between BB and Mooney's... bowling could be the last, and hopefully, deciding event. -

I want as many people as possible to be there when I crush you.

Well, we'll see, but in my mind, i'm already up 2-1.
So, others will participate, but final tally is between the two of us? Or could someone else (Candicissima?!) walk away with the spoils? -

I'll let you minions battle it out before delivering the coup de grace. -

It would be tough to have an overall competition unless we only did one event each night. We have to each play each other in order to be able to rank. Otherwise, for example, when I beat you at air hockey and pensodyssey beats Candicissima, how do we pick a winner? Everyone has to play everyone.
So I'm game either way, but if it's an open field, I say one night per event.
We can start with darts and ping pong before moving on to more manly sports like air hockey and bowling.

Good point, it would have to be round-robin for everything but bowling... I guess that we'll have to see how many would like to participate.

Okay, let's say that the shit hits the fan, and all that we have to rely upon are our Lazyman Sport skills... I KNOW that I could kill some small game with my darts and have some tasty grub!!! If a wild chicken wanders on to an airhockey table, you might be in luck, but... -
Bowling's easy. We can play as a group and the person with the best overall score is declared the champeen.
-
And winner gets...? Bragging rights are a given.

Easy there, Glengarry!
I think that, if there are going to be multiple competitors, we need to figure out a scoring system. How about we award points for the top 3 or 5 finishers in each event, highest point total after the five events wins? -
shomer fucking shabbos! i don't roll on the shabbos dude.
sorry it had to be said. -

It's understandable- it's a great movie... 'specially John Turturro, he steals the scene every time he's on! I've always wanted to say "hi" to him whenever I see him on the subway or around the neighborhood, but at the same time, I don't want to intrude.
sorry it had to be said. -

that was me as well. my pooter's on crack or something.
sorry it had to be said.
but yeah, i wouldn't want to intrude on him either, because, as you know...nobody fucks with the jeezoos. -
