Anybody heard of Pastor Donnie Davies of Love God's Way ministries?

Supposedly he's a "reformed" homosexual who's become a gentler, kinder Fred Phelps--of "God Hates Fags" fame--and compiled a list of bands that will make you gay! I'm serious. Check it out:

This is so over the top I can't tell if it's a parody or real.

And the gay-bashing dittie "The Bible Says" (which could almost be on a Tenacious D album) has some lovely double entendres like "to enter Heaven/there's no back door" (!!!) Here's the clip:

    well, other than the fact that i must be well on the way to hell based on the fact that i like most of the artists listed, i had to laugh at a few entries:

    # Boy George*
    (um... what does the asterisk represent?)

    # Ted Nugent (loincloth)
    (huh? what the hell does that mean?)

    # Dogstar
    (hah! Keanu Reeves' old band? WTF?!?)

    Dunno 'bout the asterisk but I guess George is there for obvious reasons; Keanu's band because of his urban legend, secret marriage to David Geffen; and Nugent in a loincloth probably provokes (un)wanted lustful thoughts in the Pastor. Ha!

    Btw, I think Davies is real. He just happens to be funny. Or rather, I find the corniness of his ignorant, over-the-top delivery to be hilarious.

    Just glance at the tracklisting for their album:

    I think Davies is clinging to the notion of Wilde being "reformed" due to his marriage and having kids within it.
    And how does knowing about the above urban legend make ME gay? (Not that there's anything wrong with that...) :wink:
